The best manual die cutting machine for paper crafting
I just can't say enough about this machine. I already own an electronic die cutting machine. But sometimes I just want to make a quick cut-out or emboss a card front without having to unpack the big machine. This machine is small, but sturdy. The suction plate at the bottom with hold the machine in place while you crank the items through the machine. I started using this machine within five minutes after opening. The instructions were crystal clear and all the required plates were included. I received the same type of deep/clear impressions using a variety of embossing folders. I also used die cuts from several manufacturers and all the cuts were perfect, even the small/intricate designs. I suggest buying a second set of B plates so one set can be used for embossing and the second set for cutting. I would recommend this machine to anyone who enjoys paper crafting, even if they already own a fancy electronic cutter.

Love the Blue Cuttlebug
The Cuttlebug is the perfect Embossing and Die Cut machine. It's less expensive that the others and does the same thing. I love the BLUE color of this one. The price had been cut in half when I got this Blue one. I see the price has gone back up now. Glad I got it when I did. I made Christmas cards with this little machine and it worked very well for me. I'm extremely happy with it.

Nice and compact
I quite like this little machine. I already have the Sizzix Big Kick (which is essentially the Big Shot) but it's heavy, cumbersome, takes up a lot of space, and is a pain to lug out when I want it, so I tend not to use it much. This is so compact I can keep it inside my desk cabinet (where the PC tower would normally go) and it's at my fingertips. I have the Cricut Explore, so I haven't found a need to cut with the Cuttlebug yet, but it's great for embossing and quick and easy to use. The 5x7 embossing folders seem to barely fit on the plates, but they do work. The Cuttlebug doesn't seem to be quite as tough as the Sizzix, but it's pretty close. I feel like I can abuse my Big Kick without much fear of damaging it, but with this one I'm a little timid in trying, say, the Fiskars Fuse dies through it. I'll probably mostly use this for embossing anyway, unless space issues force me to get rid of the Sizzix altogether. 1 star deducted because the suction isn't the best. It starts out really good on my Office Depot desk with the faux wood finish, but after running the plates through once or twice, the suction gives out (I think from the bit of rocking back and forth as you crank the plates through) and I have to fold it up and unfold it again to make it stick again. That said, I don't think it's really necessary to have the suction activated, unless your hands are on the weak side or you're running something really thick through that's not going through very easily. I think I'll use my embossing folders a lot more now that I have this little guy, and I really like the blue and white color of the machine--I'll probably get ink on it before long since the outside is mostly white, but it's much cuter than the green one.

Wedding Invitations on a budget--MUST GET THIS!!
I bought this to save money on our wedding invites. I really liked the idea of a letterpress style. This little machine offers a lot. I used this with the Anna Griffin folders, but had to "hack" it a little. For some reason, it's not thick enough with the Anna Griffin folder, but adding a little extra cardstock and using the rubbery impression mat helped. I was able to perfect, crisp letterpress patterns on my invitation flap. It's amazing how simple and easy this is to use to create unique and personalized paper goods. I plan to use this after my wedding to make cards, tags for my jewelry line and gift tags at christmas. You will get your money's worth with this little guy. I will be happy to share with anyone on how to make the invites! I saved $600 by making my own invitations. I just added a video to show the final products of what I made for our wedding. --glue dots to seal the band Glue Dots Craft Sheets Value Pack

Fantastic die cutting machine!
I love this machine, it's small and portable, but also very good at die cutting. As long as you have the correct plates, the die cuts are so crisp and excellent. I gave up my Sizzix Vintaj for this machine and I am not disappointed!

Doesn't get anymore awesome than this!
Have never owned a die cut or embossing machine and at first, I could emboss, but could not die cut. I confessed this to a friend and that very day, I figured out how to die cut. The only negative I had was the lack of instructions on how to use. But it is an awesome piece of equipment to add to your craft room.

Love, love
Love, love, love my Cuttlebug. I got this not even knowing what it really could do. I am a new scrapbooker/cardmaker. Anybody who is into papercrafts needs this sort of machine. I got this one because I saw it on the Gina K. youtube tutorials and the price was reasonable. I use it constantly. Have been able to use the Sizzix dies and Spellbinders without any problems.

Worth the wait
Had been wanting a Cuttlebug for some time but when I saw the blue one, it was the one I had to have! I love the color and it was worth waiting for. Lots of people cite the Big Shot or other die cut models but I have to say (having occasionally used the others) I'm not sure why. If you have lots of space to leave a big clunky machine out then those others are great. But the Cuttlebug folds up and carries easily. One criticism I had heard was it wasn't sturdy enough, but the clever suction action that happens when you fold the "table" surfaces down holds the machine in place very, very well. And all the machines can use the same embossing folders and die cuts. It's simply a preference (and possibly a storage consideration...or maybe even a color choice? black and pink? I think not!) I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!!

My new Cuttlebug
I enjoy seeing the finished product from the Cuttlebug to use with my projects. The variety of the embossing folders and dies make it so easy to use this machine. The fact that it is compact makes it easy to store and bring along from place to place. I also love the color. The only thing I dislike is the fact it does not do 12 inch pages. So I have to cut my paper but you can look at this as being dainty work.. I recommend this product to anyone who enjoys doing crafts as you can make cards, embellish letters , photos, any type of paper craft. All you need is the machine, paper, embossing folders or dies and imagination.

Missing one B plate making it unusable, unless I spend more money and buy another B plate . Came with 1 A plate, 1 B plate, 1 embossing Matt, 1 embossing folder, 2 tags cutting things

Okay
I ordered this as a stop gap until I got my other one out of storage after our move. This one does not work as well as the other Cuttlebug I have. Not sure why. I have the original green one. Maybe the blue model is different in some way. No matter, it does not perform as good as the other one.
