Delicious and hot
This mango pickle needs to mater longer before opening. It tasted very good. However, more maturation would be a good choice.I've had this mango pickle before. It really is a delicious pickle, better value than homemade because mangoes are not cheap.

Disappointing
There was a distinct sulphurous, gone off smell when I opened this. It was also extremely oily. I'm not sure this is what it is meant to be like but I won't be buying it again. Unpleasant experience.

Lovely
As a young South African, I grew up surrounded by beautiful mango trees and have enjoyed this fruit in all its forms. Green, with a spicy concoction of curry powder & tangy salt, or ripe, sweet and sticky, straight from the tree. As I grew older, I have always loved it as a tangy pickle addition to almost any meal. Now living in London, a good brand has been hard to find. This is great.. Punchy flavours, perfect balance of sweet, sour, tangy and spicy. The only let-down is I feel it is a tad too oily. Could contain more actual mango and substance, and a lot less oil. This lets this beautiful jar of warm South African memories down for me. Still, it's a great little jar to be added to dishes. I will source other suppliers and compare content.
