Samsung HW-Q80R 370W Virtual 5.1.2-Channel Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer - (Renewed)

The media could not be loaded. I will start by saying for a refurbished sound bar, it was packaged as if it was brand new and it looks and operates as if it were brand new. The sound is impeccable and at low volumes it far surpasses my old Samsung M-450 sound bar. The video is at volume 20-25 out of 100. My old sound bar was not anywhere near as clear as this one and to match this video, my old sound bar volume had to be up at 65-75. Now I can truly enjoy Dolby surround sound.The TV in this video is a 55” Samsung UHD 4K smart tv. The sound bar is about the same width as the tv.Picture of my old M-450 next to the Q80R for comparison.If you are looking at this, just buy it. You can thank me later. The price is over half off new and comes with a warranty. If it is going to break or not work properly, it’ll be within the first 90 days which the warranty covers.I received this sound bar 4-5 days before estimated. Approximately 3 days after ordering. Ordered Wednesday and received it Saturday.

The soundbar sounds great and is easy to install and use, BUT it does not fit in front of the Samsung Q80R TV as it is about 3/4" too high. It covers about 1/2" of the bottom of the screen and more importantly the infrared sensor used by the remote control to manage the TV. I bought my soundbar refurbished which was just like new but half the price and put it above the TV. The TV cannot sit on top of the soundbar as it is not wide enough to be stable with the design of the TV stand. Great soundbar but absolutely crap design by Samsung to say this soundbar matches the Q80R TV.

I bought this renewed and saved a bunch of money. Package looked to be factory original. I feel like i bought a brand new product and saved a bunch of money. Thank Amazon. Better than the movies honestly going to see a movie in the theater will be a down grade..

Sound bar sounds amazing but mine started randomly powering on and off less than 4 months after purchase. It’s basically an expensive brick. I had my last sound bar, a Denon, for 7 years. I expected this one to work for longer than 4 months.

I ordered a renewed unit and was excited for the big savings, but unfortunately the soundbar was stuck in some kind of update loop and wouldn’t function. Everything else was great (physical condition, original packaging etc.) and it looked nearly brand new. I contacted their customer support and they accepted a return so I am not unhappy and would consider buying another unit from them again. Still, it didn’t work so it’s something to consider.

Everything looks almost new. No damage or missing parts. Connecting to Samsung Q90R TV was very easy. Subwoofer and soundbar automatically detected each other using BT. I had an out of sync issue between video and audio initially, but after updating to latest firmware it appears to be good so far. Minor complaint would be the subwoofer seems to be somewhat under powered, but I just hooked up within the last several hours and still tweaking. Overall very happy with purchase. At the current price (I paid somewhat higher), it is an excellent deal.

I bought this to replace my Samsung HW-K450 soundbar/subwoofer. This is an amazing improvement in sound. I have it hooked up to a QLED Q80T TV with the SWA-9000S rear speakers. I read many reviews that said it drops connection, but I think most of those didn't have the updated firmware. I have not had any connection issues. My TV remote works for the soundbar, so I only need one remote. The adaptive sound doesn't seem to work great, but I have it on Surround most of the time anyway. I bought this renewed and bought this for $599 + the $58, 3 year protection plan and saved almost 50%. As everyone else said, it was packaged like new. I saw some reviews that said the bass wasn't loud enough. I don't know what the heck they are talking about, it is a thumper!

Really unimpressed by this equipment. I intended to upgrade from my N550 5.1 system and assumed that this one would be a significant upgrade. Wrong. Its like they took the same pieces from the entry level equipment I was replacing and just added more cheap speakers to make it seem better on paper. The firmware is trash. The sub loses connection every time the system is turned off and has to be manually reset. Support told me that the issue was unique to me so I shouldnt expect a firmware solution which is obviously a lie). When you spend $1000+ on audio equipment you expect performance. This system is incapable of providing anything close to merely accpetable mid-range, the highs are painfully loud and unrefined, and the lows are overpowered. Im convinced that you can easily find better performance for less money. On top of it, Samsung had shipping restrictions that they refused to remove which made it a huge pain to just receive the package. All I wanted was to have it held at a FedEx store for me to pick up but they wouldnt allow it no matter what even if it meant that the delivery failed and I wouldnt receive the package. I plan to return and buy a component system.
