I didn't want to spend too much on a phone case as I think they are not necessary and makes the phone thicker. But with a new phone, I was worried about scratches so I had the urge to get one. I found this for a really low price and it really looked good in the pictures. I was surprised at how impressive it looked in actuality. The black part is made of rubberized material to absorb the shock and the colored piece is made of hard plastic to provide support. The hard plastic feels like brushed aluminum to touch which gives the product a look if being expensive. I haven't dropped my phone on a hard surface yet so I don't know how much protection it offers.

I don't normally leave reviews, but this case has really performed above and beyond. First of all it looks great, feels great, goes on and comes off super simply -- only logistic complaint is that the headphone jack won't really fit an L shaped headphone adapter too well. But that's par for the course with most any hard case.But where this little guy is really worth it is the durability, especially for seven bucks. I have a Droid Turbo 2 because I'm a tech wrecker. I destroy everything that has to travel with me for extended periods of time. Phones in particular I drop like I'm being paid to. So we've got the shatterproof screen, what about a case? This baby has fallen on its back, its front, directly on three out of the four corners, MULTIPLE times in the last few months, and is still holding up great.The backplate remains in pristine condition, with only minor signs of damage appearing at the top and bottom edges. Admittedly it has cracked twice: once right behind the headphone jack, which I had to apply a dab of superglue to or risk that edge breaking off, and at a bottom corner, but that one hasn't affected performance literally at all. Since applying the glue, the other crack (which could have ruined the case completely) has not given me any trouble either, even when fiddling with a headphone connector or removing/putting on the case.So without a doubt one of the best things I've ever had a phone wear.

This case is fabulous. Only problem I had was the power button cracked and broke.

I've had it for a little while now and still love it. I got the Rose gold and have had a lot of compliments on it. It does make my phone bigger and heavier but it'd protected that way.

I was beautiful and seemed rugged. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because I don't have the finger dexterity and nail strength to push the buttons that are a little recessed. I would recommend it for someone younger (I'm almost 60).
