PVC films are not approved for direct food contact. If you need a shrink film which will be in direct contact with food, please see our POF (polyolefin) shrink films. Our PVC shrink films are crisp and crystal clear. They make a beautiful, tight, wrinkle-free package. You may use them on manual or automatic equipment to produce excellent moisture-proof packages. When controlled heat is applied, this film shrinks uniformly in all directions. It conforms nicely to odd shaped items and it is great for many common applications like packaging of CDs, DVDs, candles, glass jars and much more. Weight recommendations: 75 Gauge - For use on products weighing up to 12 pounds 100 Gauge - For use on products weighing between 12 and 30 pounds Shrink estimates: 30 to 35% MD (Machine direction indicates the direction of the film represented by the roll length, or from front to back as it is being unwound.) 45 to 50% TD (Transverse direction indicates the direction of the film represented by the roll width, or from side to side as it comes off the roll.) PVC films are more economical than their POF counterparts, but their performance is outstanding. We recommend this product for almost all applications which do not involve food contact.
