All I can say is that this cooling pillow is exactly what I was looking for, and everything I had hoped it would be. I have bought shredded memory foam pillows before that were advertised as “cooling”, but I could never feel a discernible difference. This pillow, however, has a cooling gel pad on one side that feels noticeably cooler than the rest of the pillow. What’s even better is that it STAYS COOL the entire night. No more waking up hot or sweaty for me.Another cool feature (pun intended) of this pillow is that it’s the same thickness all the way to the edge, which really makes it easy to get comfortable quickly. The memory foam is also not shredded, and is the perfect thickness for me as a side sleeper. Even the firmness is just right. I really must say that I can’t think of a single con to this pillow. It even comes with a washable zipper case.

This pillow is a little different from other pillows. It is not as thick as some memory foam pillows tend to be. For me this was a plus as I always felt the other pillows were too tall for my head and neck to be comfortable. Only downside is that it takes a while for the new pillow smell to dissapate. I have aired it out and it seems to have gone down quite a bit. Overall great pillow.

This product does NOT stay cool long. Constant flipping defeats the purpose of a cooling pillow in my view. You still sweat but its not a bad as some pillows we have owned. Its good support, easier to keep clean than most. We did not have the "plastic smell" that most mentioned... however we did allow it to expand and air out for 36-48 hours before first use .According to my husband, we will not order another one.

It is a very firm pillow, not much give at all. But I prefer to have my head propped up somewhat.Yes, it stays cool. If it does warm up for me, I merely flip it over and we're good to go.Comments about the odor - YES, it does have a "plastic" odor to it. I let mine "air out" for 1 1/2 days and the odor was still vaguely present, but tolerable. After about a month of usage, it will occasionally still have a faint whiff of the plastic odor still, but not bad. Maybe I'm just more used to it.Compared to the HOT feather pillow I had before, this one is great. I used to wake up with the back of my head damp. No more! I can over look the odor issue as it is diminishing with time. I possibly wish it was a hair softer, but not much.

Pillow stayed flat, misshapen and was quite soft. It never bulked up, as you can see in the pictures, after being out of the box all day. It was as if there was no more resiliency left in the brand new memory foam or as if it forgot what is real shape was supposed to be. No support for the neck and it felt like I was sleeping straight on the mattress. Not sure if this was defective or not.

My husband tends to sleep hot and used to have to change shirts in the middle of the night because he would be wet. Now he is doing much better with this pillow which keeps him cool. Occasionally, around 4 or 5 in the morning, he even puts it on the chair near the bed and sleeps without it the rest of the night. Having that option is great for him. A friend told us about this particular pillow and we have found it was more than worth what we paid.

Edited - it was rock hard at first but after some time it’s turned into my favorite pillow. I’ve used it every night for almost 3 years.Too firm. Cooling pad doesn’t work. I got a cooling pillow from meijer 5 years ago and I’ve been trying to replace it. Thought this would be the one to replace my old one. It didn’t. I threw away the box and ripped the tags off otherwise i would have returned it.

I had high hopes for this pillow. It came vacuum sealed and rolled up. Not uncommon these days. However, after opening it, and leaving it to lie flat on a flat, firm surface for 24 hours? It's still a lumpy pancake. It regained roughly half of the thickness it's supposed to have. It's supposed to be 4.7 inches thick. This is maybe 2 inches thick, and lumpy. As a pillow? A total failure. The case is nice, and does have one very cool/silky side. So I can try to re-purpose that. But the pillow is going to end up a pet bed. No good for people use. And at this price? I expected better.
