Overall very nice timer switch
This Enerlites switch is overall a very nice in-wall electronic countdown timer switch, for my purposes pretty clearly the best available. But I do have a few comments and complaints. This switch is available in numerous variations: 1-minute -up-to- 30-minutes, or 5 minutes to 4 hours, or 30 minutes up to 12 hours; white, or ivory; neutral connection required, or neutral not required (albeit with correspondingly slightly lesser functionality). Thatโs all good. But maybe even more variations available, Iโm not sure, and (more importantly) I canโt readily tell. And not all combinations are available either, e.g. it looks like the up-to-12-hour timer is available only in white and with the neutral wire required; but again I canโt really tell for sure. I think itโs a definite mistake on Enerlitesโ part that they donโt appear anywhere, even on their own website, to publish any kind of catalog or listing of their available products and variations thereof. Iโm comfortable that I got the best, right switch for me, but only because I consulted with Enerlitesโ tech. support - which support, it should be noted, is consistently superb, as good as any Iโve seen. But, as always, the best support is that which isnโt needed. And I think itโs also a mistake by Enerlites that they make this timer switch with stranded wire pigtails, instead of screw terminals for the (4) electrical connections. Big-league electrical switches and receptacle outlets and the like nearly all have screw terminal connections, and for plenty good reasons. Enerlites tech support points out that the wire pigtails, supplied along with 4 wire nuts, constitutes a complete-in-the-box solution, requiring no other parts to be supplied by the installer; and thatโs generally true as far as it goes - but their complete solution isnโt a particularly good one, it makes for more, messy and bulky wire connections to be squeezed into the electrical box, along with the definitely large body/housing of the switch itself. If they really want a pro-grade solution that also requires no additional parts, they could provide screw terminals plus 4 short lengths of wire. The provided installation and operation instructions for this switch are good and clear and reasonably complete - which is ironic, since itโs obvious from the pervasive falsehoods and mis-statements in the user reviews and answers here that most of these users donโt read the instructions while still feeling free to declaim. And lastly, I think itโs tacky that Enerlites describes this switchโs LED indicator as constituting a night light, โeasy to locate in the dark,โ since this โnight lightโ is only on while the switch is on, otherwise itโs off - not much of a night light in my view. But what the heck, my Enerlites switch is installed without too much fuss, and looks good, and works beautifully, just about as advertised. And my feelings on the issues described above are largely assuaged by talking with the excellent Enerlites tech support. So I reckon Iโll be nice in return, rate this timer switch 5 stars for now, and see how it goes with time.

Dependable performance
Iโve replaced all the fans in our home with these. After trying several other brands and styles, I bought a couple to try for our MBA, and theyโve performed very dependably. The timers are pretty consistent between the two units in out bathroom. If youโre pretty handy, theyโre super easy to install and operation is easy to understand. These are great to run as needed for moisture or odor, with the ability to walk away without having to worry about wasting electricity. They make it easy to manage humidity in bathrooms where mold can take hold if left unchecked. Compared to the other brands Iโd purchased before, these seem to be better built and last longer than prior failed units. The LEDs are nice indicator for the timer pressed but donโt glare at all, and operation is silent with only a small click when the timer ends. Very discreet and robust.

Pick the right version for your needs and you will be completely happy with the quality and performance of these timer switches.
I have several of these timer switches installed in my home. Two are used in the bathroom's to control the fans and one is installed in the laundry room to control the plug in the ironing board cabinet. The quality of the switches is excellent. They look, feel and operate like a very solid high quality product constructed with quality materials. The wiring is easy to understand and, assuming you have the skills to install a normal wall switch, you should have no problems whatsoever installing these switches. The only feature that you have to pay attention to is the LED lighting. The blue LED's are VERY bright. These switches are available in two versions, one has the LED's lit continuously and the other only lights the LED's for a few seconds after the switch is activated. Because the ble LED's are VERY bright, this makes a big difference in selecting the best switch for your needs. The version that keeps the LED's lit continuously is best used in areas where people are not sleeping. During the day, the bright LED's are actually a distinct advantage since it is very easy to see what the timer setting is. In interior rooms with no windows, such as the laundry room or main bath, the continuously lit LED's are easy to see. At night, in a main bathroom for example, the LED's also create a very effective night light for anyone using the restroom. However, if the switch can be seen from the bedroom, in a master bathroom for example, the very bright LED's can be a nuisance. For bedroom applications, the HET06 provides a version that only lights the LED's for a few seconds when the switch is first activated. This works perfectly for master bath fan or bedroom ceiling fan applications. I'm not a picky sleeper but I have to admit that I made this mistake and ended up ordering the HET06 (no continuous LED) to change it out. Now it's perfect. I've had some of these switches installed for about a year now in high traffic use and they still work perfectly. Pick the right version for your needs and you will be completely happy with the quality and performance of these timer switches.

A few improvements would make this switch perfect
I bought this switch to power a Panasonic bathroom fan. The Leviton timer switch I was initially considering is almost 3X the price, so I decided to give this one a shot. You can tell as you're unpackaging it that it's a quality product - the switch is packaged in protective bubble wrap, the packaging and instructions are high quality, it comes with good wire nuts, the wiring is both color coded and extremely well labeled. I now understand why Enerlites/top Greener products are so popular. The switch works is working well so far, and I'm hoping I'll get years of reliable operation from it. There are a handful of product improvements that would make this switch perfect, IMO: 1. I wish they had a version with 5-10-15-30-45-60 minute buttons. You don't really need 2 and 4 hour buttons in a bathroom. At the same time, the lack of a 45 minute option is a big miss. It would give you the ability to have the fan on for 15 minutes while you're taking a shower, and then 30 minutes to dry the bathroom out, which is about perfect. With this switch, you're relegated to 30 or 60 minute increments in that range, which isn't ideal. 2. This switch provides two lighting modes. In the first mode, when you press a time button, the little LED flashes twice then goes out, even as the fan remains on. In the other mode, when you press a button, the light stays on until the time runs out and the fan turns off. I wish they had a 3rd mode which left all of the LEDs on a low setting when the switch is off - it would make it easier to locate at night and in dim rooms. Enerlites does sell a different version of this unit where the LEDs stay on constantly, but with that one, you don't have the option to adjust the lighting modes. Why sell two different switches, instead of one that actually that offers 3 lighting modes? 3. The default light setting (i.e., LED blinks twice then goes out) is wrong. It's far more intuitive for the LED to remain on as long as the switch is on. It's good that they give you an option to set this behavior, but it really should be the default behavior. It a nuisance because whenever the power goes out, the switch doesn't remember your preference, and you have to go and manually re-set the switch. If they made these 3 improvements, I think they'd have the perfect switch for bathroom fans.

Works and looks great, Easy to install!
Bought it for my whole house fan install. Works and looks great! They were going to install one of those timers with a twist knob, but I didn't like how it stuck out so much, so I bought a couple of these instead (1 for the fan, another for my daughter's bathroom). The longest duration is for 4 hours, but you can bypass the timer by pressing any one of the timer buttons, and once it's on, hold that button for longer than 8 seconds to keep the power on indefinitely. To cancel this feature, just press any button to reset the timer or press the big button to turn it off immediately. I love that you can just press on the amount of time you want the power to run for and walk away. No more having to turn off my daughter's bathroom fan hours after realizing she had left it on. She told me that sometimes, she wouldn't use the fan after a shower because she didn't want to forget to turn it off... I don't know which is worse. She also said that she likes how my fans no longer stay on all night when I get too lazy or too tired at night to turn them off because she can hear my fans from her bedroom when the house is all quiet at night. I ended up buying a total of 6 units (3 2-packs) and have them in all rooms with a bathroom-type exhaust fan. Electricians installed my first 2 but the last guy told me how to do it so that I can install the rest myself. The main point he said was to connect the neutral (white) wire to the clump of neutral (white) wires in the box. The instructions are short and simple to understand. Oh, and the lights do NOT stay on all night. Once you select a timer, the light for that timer flashes twice, then turns off. But there is a feature to keep the LED on for that timer for the duration of the "on" time. I don't use this feature, but I can see how it can be good in case you don't remember which button you pressed. Overall, a great product!

โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Works great for my bathroom fans
Easy to install and does exactly what itโs supposed to do. I use these for my bathroom fans so I donโt have to remember to turn them off. Just hit the button for 10, 30, or 60 minutes and it shuts off on its own. The little light on the switch is handy at night too. Good quality and looks nice on the wall โ definitely worth it.

Performs exactly as advertised.
This digital in-wall countdown time switch did everything I was expecting. My application required the control of some small low voltage 120VAC plug in power supplies and an A/V Receiver which standard countdown timers and motion control switches without a neutral connection will not work for. The Non-Neutral versions depend on a trickle of 120Vac current going through the connected device in order to power its internal digital timer circuitry. If the load connected to the switch does not have a low enough resistance in order to conduct enough current when turned off to drive the circuity, then the timer will not function. i.e.: If you connected say a 10 watt incidence light bulb as the output load, the high resistance of that small load would not pass the "off state" circuit current to power the internal timer. If replaced with a 60 Watt bulb, it would work. That is also true of newer small plug-in power supplies (cellphone chargers), some bathroom fan motors and especially most electronic products such as TVs and A/V Receivers and amplifiers. Also, that small trickle of current required to power the timer circuity when the load is turned off can cause havoc with many electronic devices like those mentioned above. Since this timer unit has a separate neutral wire connection, it does not rely on the "trickle thru" current by way of the load device to power the internal timer circuity. And most important to me, is that it had an internal relay to switch the current instead of a Solid State Triac transistor for switching the AC. This affords this product to switch the full 15 amp current rating of the device without the danger of overloading a Triac circuit which historically fail easily with power surges, lightning and many other poor power situations. The relay contact closure also will not induce any voltage drop as the Triac switching circuitry will. However, the advantage to the Non-Relay Triac version is that since it does not require a neutral wire to operate most device loads, it can be used to directly replace a standard light switch in where no neutral wire is present in the light switch box. So be careful when ordering. This timer unit is sold in two versions; one without a neutral connection and one with a neutral connection. Make sure to order the neutral version if your installation location has a neutral wire present in the box your installing it into. I felt compelled to write this review in order to explain the difference and save everyone who reads this a lot of time and expense. This is the kind of knowledge that is usually only learned via years of experience and not from anything the manufacture prints in their instructions. Knowing all this from years of personal and professional experience, this is the first time that I have seen a product advertised as "Requires a Neutral Wire Connection". I has that feature and with the added internal relay, it did exactly what I needed to have done. I used it to automatically turn off an A/V Receiver/Amplifier for my backyard speakers so that I would not come inside after dark and leave the outside speakers on to disturb my neighbors. It worked great. I purchased the "two pack" and paired the other unit with a Duplex outlet to make a countdown timer control circuit for my electronic device chargers. Often times, some devices will not turn off the charging circuit and overcharge/heat the batteries. By using this application of the timer switch I can set it for an amount of charging time that will be safe for that device. I highly recommend this product for anyone who requires the unique and special features it provides. I hope you have found this helpful.

Works well, looks good, color matches my wall plates
I wish it was less, but inflation, sigh. Works well, no issues, it requires a neutral wire, so make sure you have it. Instructions say it will work without one, but you lose the LED function. Didn't try it since I have the neutral, so I can't say. These are very nice to have for your bathroom exhaust fans, set it and walk away. They have up to a 4 hr setting for when you want to use strong cleaners or paint. Had to order 2 of them twice as the first just vanished and was never delivered. Checked back with Amazon (had to call) and they sent me a new one again no prob. Good product, good price, fast delivery (eventually). Happy

Great value, works well , not so great packaging.
Really good value for a 2 pack. I installed two of these in my bathrooms in a two switch electrical box. I also have two Eaton timers in other bathrooms too. In our first bathroom installation was very easy. The included manual, especially the diagram was useful. Keep in mind you need a neutral wire. Peek behind your current switches to see if you have a neutral. These timers are quite thick, thicker than the Eaton ones that we have. They will fit in a double switch electrical box, you just need to manage your wires. In the second bathroom I have to get creative. The fan was wired as a 3 way setup (stupid builder). I had to bypass the unused switch on the circuit. This timer will not work on a 3 way setup (as far as I know). Iโve tested them a few times and the timers work and turn off our bathroom fans. The packaging left a bit to be desired. Cheap cardboard box and thin bubble wrap inside. Both switches had a bit of scuff marks. They are white so not really noticeable. I expected better. I donโt like scuff marks on a product that is supposed to be brand new. Will try their 7 day timer switch next.

Perfect for the bathroom
Everyone should have a timer controlling their bathroom exhaust fan. There are many makes and models of timers however this unit fits the task perfectly. It has 5 and 10 mins for "stale odor" issues and 60 min for longer durations for taking care of steam from showers and post-shower drying of the room. It's a sleek looking unit - many others look cheap or clunky. The buttons have a good positive feel. I have used nearly the exact same unit for over 6 yrs now however that one was branded General Electric and was a 3-wire (no neutral). Holding the two units side by-side (see attached photo), they are identical - well the GE had a 15 min button where this one has a 10 min. Clearly designed by the same company in California. This unit is of course, built in China. The GE branded version was a little temperamental since it used a 100 uf electrolytic capacitor to run the electronics instead of a hot and neutral based power supply. If you activated the buttons too often, you could render the unit inoperative until the capacitor recharged and rebooted the microcontroller. Also after a power outage, same issue - had to wait till the cap was charged before you could use it. That can fool you into thinking it failed. A recent power outage seemed to finally kill my old GE branded switch. Reading other reviews - some people had trouble with the buttons popping off. In 6 yrs, never a problem with the buttons on the GE branded unti (again, exact same design as this switch). Some complained about the blue LEDs being too bright. Out of the box, the blue LED blinks once to acknowledge a time selection and then turns off - then blinks every say 60 seconds to show the selected time. No other LEDs stay lit. Should you want the selected time delay LED to stay lit, per the included instructions, hold both the 5 and 10 min buttons until the LED at the bottom flashes once. Now the selected time LED will stay on while the timer is active and turn off once the time expires. Repeat the 5 and 10 min buttons to switch back to the mode where they stay off. An extended power failure will return the unit to the intermittent flash mode - so repeat the 5&10 min button hold to change to the continuous LED mode. The large button at the bottom will trigger the last used time delay setting or will turn off the switch. If you want the switch to stay on indefinitely, then hold the large button for ~8 seconds. Since this is a 4 wire unit (hot, neutral, load/red and ground), I hope it's more stable and reliable than the 3 wire version. If you are need the 3 wire because there is no neutral (white) wire in your bathroom switch box, search Amazon for "GE Push Button Digital Countdown Timer Switch".

Good timer switch for bathroom fan
Replaced normal bathroom fan switch with this one. Installation was easy because of clearly marked cables. It took around 15 minutes. The switch is bulky. So, it doesn't leave much room for cables inside the box. The switch itself is well constructed. Now we don't have to check the bathroom before going to bed to make sure someone didn't leave the fan on. I wish it had countdown feature that showed the time remaining with next lower minutes LED lighted up. 4 stars on easy to use for this reason. Otherwise it's good. For those complaining about LED turned off, press and hold the 5 and 10 minutes buttons for few seconds until all the LEDs flash. After that the desired time button LED will remain on. The product description says it quite clearly. I guess we can not follow instructions if we don't read it ..lol. Not sure how many times we will use the 2Hrs and 4Hrs button but couldn't find the max 60 min versions. It's quite expensive if bought 1 pack. I found later that 2 packs are significantly cheaper. Also 4 stars for value for money. Bought the 2 packs to replace all other bathroom fans and the ventilation fan switches. Waiting for delivery.
