9/30/2018still love it. Their long teardrop bar is good also.----------------------------------------------It came a little marred and nicked but I bought this for function not form. I’m just a guy who thought this would help with blood flow and lymph stuff.My big concern was that the large concave side would be too narrow for my thigh. It isn’t.I am 6’1” and 230ish pounds. This device fits over my quads and hamstrings as good as i was hoping it would. I’m very happy with my purchase.---- a few weeks later---my self care game has stepped up with the addition of this tool. The IASTM videos often reference "feed back", which is this gritty/bound texture beneath the skin. This tool gives amazing feedback, indicating where where you need to focus your massage.------update March 2018I can now perform squats without my quadriceps feeling like they are tearing apart. I can also do yoga positions where my legs are folded in front of me and both my knees can touch the ground. My right leg needed a yoga block for that position a year ago. I use this tool weekly and it really has improved my range of motion.I employ Gua Sha techniques and IASTM techniques with it. I frickin' love this thing. I also like my Wave tool, because it has a sharper edge and can get a little deeper after I warm the site up with the Ellipse Pro.I contacted the company about making a sharper-edged ellipse pro and they were very responsive to my email.Which means they take customer input seriously.

I purchased this tool on the recommendation of my physical therapy colleagues who own one and I am ecstatic with my decision. After using this tool for five minutes on my lower leg I was able to relieve ankle and knee pain that I have been having for months. Of course, I am well trained and educated on how to work with this sort of device, but my wife, who is a physician is not.She does anesthesia for a living, however, after browsing the manual that comes along with the tool and checking out a few videos she was working out her restrictions within minutes. We are both astounded with the effectiveness of this product.In my past I would use my elbows, hands, knuckles, and finger tips to create change in soft tissue, and it left me in so much pain at the end of the day. Next, I switched to compression bands, lacrosse balls and barbells which are also effective, but take much more time and are not very precise. II’m quite pleased to have found another modality to ad to my toolbox and help people heal with.I definitely recommend this product for clinicians and for athletes who want to be able to train hard and recover quickly so that you can train hard again tomorrow. I have struggled with the neck pain and headaches for a long time and had tried many different things like chiropractor services, yoga, acupuncture...Little did I know that the pain was the cause of adhesions that have formed over the years from wrong postures and sitting work lifestyle. I have also tried some inexpensive versions of gua sha tools that had little to no effect to my condition. I have been hesitating to purchase the tool because of the price. Honestly, it was a little over my budget and at this point I didn't know if there was anything that could help me feel better anymore. But one day I decided that I should really give it a try. When i got the box I was surprised how smooth and shiny the tool was. It was made out of stainless steel. It also came with the book of instructions and the Emollient. This Myofascial Releaser had made a big difference for me after trying all different kind of methods. It is very well designed and allows for the proper pressure to the muscle when used. The relief from stiffness came immediately. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it! It worked wonders for me and I can truly say that it was one of the best investments I have made in my health so far.

I want to start with I highly recommend this tool.I purchased this tool for personal use on the recommendation of friend of mine who is a physical therapist. She taught me some techniques for use and I have watch several videos of professionals demonstrating the technique. So far the tool has worked fantastically. I have pretty tight calves and stretching and foam rolling alone have only gotten me so far. I run a fair bit so I am in constant need of TLC. Additionally, I have used the tool on my partners shoulders and have found that her mobility has begun to increase as we couple the treatment with stretching.The tool is very versatile having both a convex/concave age to sweep the muscle tissue and get more focused pressure, the smaller protrusions are great for working around the achilles and around the shoulder blade.I am still figuring out how to use the tool and find the holes to be both beneficial and a bit awkward depending on the edge I am trying to use. Additionally, the massage cream I use does make handling the tool a bit more difficult as it does get a bit greasy. I will say without the massage cream it is more uncomfortable to use. I am sure that the more I use the tool, the better I will be at using the tool and learn new techniques.The main reason I only gave four stars is that the website does not offer any technique videos for using their tool specifically. While i can watch videos about the Graston tools, this tool in particular has no set of techniques associated as put forth by the company. The website indicates they will be coming soon, but not sure how long that has been there nor the duration it will remain. Hope this helps.
