Solid bag, though on the higher-end of cost scale, the quality shows time and time again
I expected this to be much smaller. Prior leaving abroad for work and pleasure, I sought for new bag to replace my solid Thule. This thing is built like a god damn tank and is clearly made of high-quality materials. My friend balked at the price, but I put a premium on comfort and storage range. Though I thought it was large (I'm a tall dude), it compresses quite well. This thing has kept all my electronics, my clothes, and a litany of crap yet it still retains comfort and durability. So far it has been almost a month and this thing doesn't have a scratch despite the abuse I've put it through roaming through different cities.

and absolutely love it. The first day I got it
I've used this bag for a couple of days now, and absolutely love it.The first day I got it, I decided to "break it in" by going rucking for several miles. I'm not a military guy, just a man who enjoys going on hikes.I'll start with the cons. Now admittedly, these are more subjective and I don't really have much to say in the way of cons for this rucksack, just more observations that could be an issue.1. Top load and size. These kind of go hand in hand. The bag is quite roomy, and has room for expansion. However, because the bag is top loading, getting access to items in the bottom can be an issue for someone with shorter arms.2. Price. This is actually quite subjective. 200 bucks is quite a bit of money. But I've tried other bags that were more expensive, and not as nice as this one. What I like:1. Magnetic buckles. Once I fooled around with them, I absolutely fell in love with them.2. Size. I'm a big guy, 6'1 roughly 250 pounds, and find this rucksack is the perfect size for me and for what I do.I almost live in my truck due to work, and other activities, and even though I've only used this bag for about 3 days now, I can see it lasting me for years to come. Easily fit about 3 days worth of clothes and photog gear.3. Quality. The first day I received this bag, I went rucking, loading it up with about 30 pounds of stuff. Not only was it comfortable, it held up well.4. Philanthropic work. Now this is where I start to get personal, and quite honestly is a major reason why I went with this company when I was looking for a new bag.For every bag they sell they donate a backpack full of school supplies to a child in need. Why is this important to me?When I was in school, my parents couldn't afford to get school supplies every year for me, my bro, and my sis. So there were a lot of hand me downs, re-using old chewed up #2 pencils, and using binders and notebooks that were thrown out by banks or offices. So to save face from my friends, who always sported fresh stuff every year, I pretended to not care about my education. I went to school trying to be that cool kid who didn't bring anything.Today, I'm in a position where I could afford to spend extra on this backpack. Knowing that this purchase will help a child in need, providing him or her with much needed school supplies, made this purchase decision easy for me. On top of all this, this is a great quality rucksack.

Perfect.
I'm an art student trying to finish up my undergrad, and my grad after. That being said, I've always struggled trying to fit all of my things into one backpack and it was becoming really tiring having to carry multiple things or being unorganized. I wanted a backpack that would fit everything, and that also has convenience to it's design. This is the backpack.I actually just found this brand on Amazon, by chance. Looking through the photos, I immediately knew that this was a well thought out design. This led to reading more about the brand and I even watched the video on their old kickstarter page! (Which did not disappoint!!)When you buy a Just Porter bag, they give a bag filled with school supplies to a child in need. The culture and message behind this company revolves around kindness, and educating today's underprivileged youth! To me, that's just a bonus on top of an awesome backpack.I literally can fit everything in this backpack, with room to spare. It's pretty giant, compared to me anyway. But it's perfect for what I need, which is commuting comfortably while carrying four classes' worth of supplies. The magnetic buckles?! Seriously the coolest. The zippers glide easily, the material is so durable. This backpack is my new best friend. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it as well! The roll up top lets the backpack expand even more. I could go on and on about how I love this thing! It's just super convenient, and I can't see this backpack being replaced any time soon. I'm done searching for the perfect backpack for me, because I've found it! If this style is too big, they have smaller options too. Check out their website!Chris Bahr, the founder, also let me know through Instagram that if I had ordered on the website instead of Amazon.. I would've received a handwritten thank you from him! So that's pretty cool too.

I love this bag!
First, I love this bag! I have been using it for some daily commuting, and that has been great. But, this bag really shines for short trips or for a airplane carry-on.I have used Timbuk2 in the past, and that has been fine for what it is. However, I have been looking for a bag with a better attention to detail, better materials and something that had an great tactile feel to it. This bag has met those expectations and exceeded it. Very strong construction, attention to detail is easy to see. From the minute I touched the bag, I knew it was really well made.Pros: Great exterior fabric. Buckles are the best I have seen. Place for iPad under flap, and padded laptop pocket that is accessible from the outside of bag ++++++ (huge plus for people that work anywhere). No unnecessary pockets. Flap pocket works really well for holding items that you need quickly (keys, wallet, phone). Compression straps to cinch what you’re carrying. Can hold about 3 days of stuff for a short trip.Cons: None as of now. Will update later.Highly recommended. Lifetime guarantee made it an easy decision.
