best belt keychain ever
update: added photos of new and 7 year old version. amazing product highly recommend ❤️ i have been wearing my keys on my belt loop for years now. i was tired of heavy metal carabiners ripping off my belt loops. so i looked into a better solution. the chain on my wallet attaches to my belt, so why not my keys too? this thing is awesome! the webbing is thick and very sturdy. it wraps both in front and behind your belt, then folds over the top and velcros in place. i was a bit skeptical about the velcro, but after a few weeks of wearing it 24/7 i no longer have any doubts. it has NOT unvelcroed on its own once. the metal key retention clip is super study. as other have mentioned the black paint has begun to chip off on the inside (where the key rings rub it), but personally i think it looks cooler that way. i have two sets of keys (each with a fob) on two rings connected to the clasp. the keyper is just long enough that they all fit perfectly into my pocket. no more clinking keys while i walk. getting the individual key rings off the retention clip took a bit of getting used to (it's a totally different mechanic than the traditional carabiner) but has already become an unconscious task (good thing). to remove a key ring i depress the the retention bar with my right thumb and slide the keyring off with my index and middle finger. but this method only works with the "front most" keyring. if i want to removed the 2nd one i have to use two hands, one to move the keys i dont want forward (but still on the keyper) and the other to do the task i just explained. but maybe this will change over time/use. i really love the keyper, it's the best key system i have ever used. if your looking for something tactical, secure, and to replace a carabiner, check this thing out! final update: i ordered this on Nov 30, 2012 and it's Oct 28, 2019. the velcro has finally reached critical mass and i have to order a new one. (i was wrapping a rubber band around it for the last week). 7 years of everyday use (i only take it off one maybe twice a day) should speak to the exceptional quality of this device. the painted metal part did chip a bit (and fairly quickly) but this is cosmetic only and didn't bother me one bit. this is an A+ product and i'm literally ordering it again today.

Glove holder
I use this as a glove clip on my tactical belt. It keeps the gloves in an easy to use location and is fairly easy to manipulate the clip to remove gloves. The Velcro seems to be a good quality and very versatile. Overall it is a great value for the money and has performed well.

Decent but not for me
Improvement over a previous key dangler that clipped over a belt. That one sometimes slipped off because it did not go entirely around the belt and did not clasp the belt securely. This one goes entirely around the belt. I was wearing it "backwards" (hiding the Maxped logo) because of geometry - right side, with the clip opening backwards. This had to be replaced because I had a hard time operating it one handed in winter. I needed to get keys on and off with one hand, without looking because of wearing waist-length jackets, while carrying something in the other hand. In several months of use, multiple times per day, I never got the hang of one-hand blind opening of the particular clip used here. However this is sturdy, does not come off a belt except when wanted, and should be fine for two handed, or one-handed in-sight opening. Another reason for retiring this: I lost a second key ring that dropped off when I removed the first. It fell off without noticing. (Fortunately I noticed the loss, deduced the way it was lost, and found the ring a few hours later where I had last unclipped the other keyring.) So I recommend that only one keyring be carried on this at a time.

I've been using these key clips for over 8 years.
I started buying these key clips over eight years ago. I bought a work one and a personal one to start with. After four years my work became worn. I'm correctional officer, and some of those key sets are heavy and on rather large rings. They get caught on chairs and other things all the time. In my free time I like to camp and hike, I'm not a small person so I often get tangled in brush and such when bushwacking. These clips take a bunch of abuse and keep going. I've found 4-5 years is an average life span for most of these before they can start to get worn and bent. For me anyway, which is good. Edited since I already wrote a review & to add, I loose things all the time. I have actually lost a few of these and have had to order more over time due to that and wearing them out. Some have a slightly different design on the clip piece. Two of those wore out rather quickly. Luckily when I got new ones they were back to being sturdy (or I bought rip offs before?¿ at a cheaper price) These clips get a bunch of use & abuse out of me and keep going for 4-5 years. This is the ONLY clip I use & trust for my personal keys. The velcro has never worn out or pulled loose. When I first get them the end of the outside doesn't always cling, I wrap a rubber band around it for a few months and it then will stay down for years. It's just the stiffness of a new clip that needs broke in. If the springs were tougher, I don't think I'd ever have to reorder. Only ever had one I ordered from Maxpedition to actualy bend at the metal clip, which kept me from falling really badly as it was caught and held my over 250+# body until I could regain my footing. (Hiking) That keyring was unusable after that though. I'm not gentle on many things unless they are alive... but Maxpedition does make some fine products and I hope they keep doing so for a long time.

10 years of use and going strong
I've had this since 2015 and it is just now needing a replacement, and only because the velcro has worn out the way it eventually always will. I looked around for replacements and I will be buying another one of these if I cannot repair the velcro. This has been used at work at a minimum 5 days a week for ten years and has held up great.
