Very strong easy to build and install

keep in mind product does not come with the screen or installation tool. That said, i found cutting it a tad annoying but expected for metal. Didn't have an issue fitting the right angle connectors in place nor installing the screen. The instructions provided helped in installing the entire thing though a video could help if you're unsure. Whatever you measure you'll have to subtract from the length of the 2 connectors before cutting to avoid multiple cuts. I had to cut a fair amount of since i only needed 35" at the longest edge.

Pretty easy to assemble, I broke a corner tab (be careful not to use too much force when assembling). The pull tabs also confused me - the instructions don’t explain exactly how to orient them. I figured out two options - either cut the screen or break the plastic (it’s scored as if meant to bend into the channel but snaps if you try). I ended up using gorilla tape to make myself a soft tab to squeeze between the screen and the rubber spline. Attaching picture in case anyone else needs to fix the broken tab.

This product is fantastic. Spines are included, use them not the ones that come with whatever screen you are ordering. Sturdy, well painted, no manufacturing defects. We will buy these every time we need to build our own screens. MUCH cheaper than buying custom or elsewhere. Fully save 67%. Easy to build, perfectly square. When you attach the screen keeper springs, use a non-marring mallet to bang in the spring and the corner piece at the same time. Also, it is much easier to build the screen with two people. I would estimate about 15 minutes total per screen. You will need the screen roller tool. I used table saw rather than a hack saw. Our finished screens look factory made. 10 out of 10, will highly recommend!

I was a tad skeptical, but for how cheap it was , even if it didn’t work I wasn’t out a lot of money. I went to several places trying to get a replacement screen for my door. Last resort I went to Amazon not thinking I’d find anything good. When I found this screen product. It is cut to size which was very easy with a hacksaw, I will definitely be ordering more of these instead of going somewheres and having someone make them for me. I live in an older house and have a lot of windows that have no screens. This worked perfectly. It was a tight fit because you measure and cut yourself. Very easily removed and installed, and thickness was perfect to replace the window. Excellent product!

The windows in our house were missing a couple of screens at the time of purchase. This kit made making my own custom replacements very easy. Instructions were clear, but I somehow still managed to mess up the measurements. Luckily the frames were cut larger than the size of the window so it was just a matter of trimming off a little bit. Highly recommend not installing screen material until you dry-fit the frame first to make sure all is right. I used a bench top saw box to cut the pieces, using a manual fine toothed saw. The frame was easy to cut and only took a minute or so per section. This frame kit seems very durable and has held up well so far over the past several months.

Easy and convenient to use. Having spline already in the grooves helps also. Just remember to measure twice, cut once.

Doesn’t have anything to help it stay in the window. Spend money on a different product. Had to cut holes in my screen to add paper clips to clip to the window to help it stay in.

I was looking for a screen for my laundry room, and none could be found. I decided to make my own. After cutting it to size, I painted the frame black to match the trim of the window. The only drawback was trying to find the mosquito mesh. The local hardware store came through for me.
