Lovely when made up in stretch material.
I purchased this pattern to get me back into home sewing (Great British Sewing Bee you have a lot to answer for!) As I hadn't sewn for a long time I thought I would make a 'rough' one out of a stretch material dress that I no longer wore (transformation!!) It made up beautifully so encouraged me to try again. I just wish the patterns were not so expensiveI would thoroughly recommend this item.

Making another!
Like this pattern. Worthwhile trying slightly different fabrics and colourways. Pretty straight forward.

Not a pattern for beginners!
I have made two tops from this pattern views A&C in Crepe and Challis. They turned out well and I cut a 16 which is my normal 'shop' size. I always look at the sizing on the tissue paper as a guide and then make any adjustments necessary. I have been sewing on and off for the last 40 years so the instructions were obvious but some might not be so clear to the novice sewer. I also feel it is a little rich to split the small and larger sizes into two separate pattern envelopes . In my case I bought the Large envelope and fortunately my size was okay, had I needed a 14 I would have had had to buy again.Other than that a nice garment when made up. My photo has been sewn in Crepe which was a little tricky to handle but managed it in the end. You can buy this material on EBay if it is still available. Green/Black crepe.

Pattern fault
I am an experienced sewing person having made hundreds of garments. This pattern is good but there is a fault with the facing. You can made a new one using the back pattern piece but should not have too. Also small fitting problem at front pleat. Made up fine.

great pattern
used this lots of time to make either cheesecloth or fine cotton, longline tops. Quick, once you get the hang of it (i didn't need the collar bits, or the gathered shoulder) and economic on material.
