Value for money
This isn't my first 144hz monitor, but this is my first 144hz IPS display. This monitor is actually a good value for money if you're looking for a high refresh rate monitor, you may find other brands like LG or benq monitors from 15k-20k but none of those are IPS. I've got one complaint with the colours, it's an IPS display it's supposed to give it good colours, my previous LG monitor produced vibrant colours and this Acer monitor produces dull colours (you're gonna notice it mostly when you play games with vibrant colours like Overwatch or fortnite). Build quality is great, even when I jerk the desk it doesn't wobble much, the stand is sturdy but I would've liked height adjustment and 90° rotation as well. Picture quality is decent, considering it's an entry level IPS display, I wouldn't recommend it for content creation, but for regular media like watching YouTube / Netflix or Amazon Prime it's not bad. Haven't used the HDR mode, so can't make any comments about that. Gaming was fun, no stutters, no tearing thanks to FreeSync now that it works with Nvidia GPUs. I did have to DDU my drivers for smooth functionality, so keep that in mind. And FreeSync with Nvidia GPUs works only with display port (which is not included in the box, they have an HDMI cable though) About the small stuff now, it's Vesa compatible if you're into that sort of stuff. The joystick works fine, but the buttons are very skinny fit my liking, wouldn't have minded a usb port and height adjust. ⭐⭐Should you upgrade to it?⭐⭐ If you have a 60hz display then definitely yes, but this is no upgrade over any other 144hz display so it would be a much better idea to spend your hard earned money elsewhere. All in all its a decent monitor at this price point (14k-16k) Don't buy it for over 16k, you could get the LG one which is not IPS but performs almost similar for around 15

Very good monitor but think before you buy
I'm writing this review after using it for 15 days.ive done all the available tests on the monitor. At this price point I can't complain about the stand and no display cable in the box.let me tell u the key points I want you guys to know before you buy this. I tested the following games on this monitor shadow of the tomb raider,JC4,Apex legends,csgo,dota2,destiny2,paladins,Fortnite,DMC5,yakuza0,rainbow six seige, sekiro, mutant year zero, dead cells, jumpforce, resident evil 2and 7. 1)The colours are not good enough for a ips panel but it is vibrant enough and better than other panels at this price range 2)This monitor has serious ghosting issues.which can be reduced by enabling the vrb feature.Once u enable the vrb feature to extreme it kills the brightness.u can use vrb only in a darkroom.ive read that enabling vrb increases input lag. 3)144hz is possible with the hdmi 2.0 given in the box but it gave me screen flickering issues when gaming atleast once a day(screen randomly goes black for few seconds).THIS IS FIXED BY USING A DISPLAY CABLE INSTEAD OF HDMI and I installed the monitors drivers from the Acer website. 4)you cannot turn on both amd freesync and vrb at the same time. 5)the HDR option which comes with this monitor is a very entry level one.its fine for most games but it does not show darker shades(u can't see anything in darker areas of the game).I tested with the HDR on my t.v. i suggest HDR off than on. 6)I think you should buy this monitor if u are upgrading from 60hz and have other work than gaming on a computer.(rendering, programming, watching movies). !) If your only purpose for buying this monitor is to play FPS eSports games I strongly do not recommend this. !!) If u are a gamer who play MOBAs like Dota 2,and some AAA games I strongly recommend this monitor. !!!)U can still play online FPS games on this monitor.if u feel ur eyes can't see the ghosting. im just trying to say that if you are a hardcore fps gamer who thinks to go pro.consider other options and get a good TN panel for a better competitive edge than your opponents. After tweaking my monitor settings I found these color settings to be accurate in all conditions Brightness-2.4 Contrast-50 Gamma -2.2 R gain-50 G gain-48 B gain-39. Hope this helped.

Great monitor, it met all my expectations.
I bought this monitor with so many doubts about its capabilities and the rated specifications. Spent almost a week researching for the right monitor with 144hz refresh rate, adaptive sync, good picture quality and finally decided to go with this Acer VG240YP because of it's competitive price and IPS panel. Ran all kinds of image tests available online and tested with all of my favorite games, they run like knife on butter, no ghosting, good image quality, good viewing angles and no issues so far. Those 144hz and fast response times really matter when it comes to good gameplay experience and this monitor does the job well...anybody confused on deciding b/w this and other similar monitors, I recommend giving it a try and you won't regret it.
