Decent enough movie
Worth a watch, not the greatest movie, but not the worst by far.

Mediocre dragon movie
Nothing special storyline and characters, very predictable, VFX so so, B-movie fun?

Effective love story if a bit low on action
Very enjoyable dragon slaying movie but I could have used a bit more dragon and a bit less royal soap opera. But there's a lot to like in this low budget film. The main characters are likable and you'll definitely be pulling for Will, the main character of the story. The dragon effects are actually okay given the film's probable budget, but I wish there could have been more of it.Definitely give this movie a try. πππ

Man from Snowy River + a 2011 CGI Dragon
Started strong with interpersonal relationships, but when the action had to resolve things, all we got was lots of shots of things about to happen, and then a cut to things after they happened. If you've watched The Man from Snowy River (1982), then Jim = Will, Jess = Kate, Kirk Douglass' characters = Sterling, and Kind of Crow, Clancy kind of equals Crow too, Spriggs = Rosemary; and the Dragon = Brumbies, etc. Once again the British class system is reinforced by seemingly magical and heroic qualities that make everything OK in feudal Scotland (filmed in Ireland).

Just rewatch The Man From Snowy River...
This could've been a worthwhile movie venture if the writers/producers/whoever hadn't been set upon recreating Snowy River but set in Ireland with dragons and swords instead of Brumbies. The acting is fine, and the scenery is beautiful, but I simply can't get Jim, Jess, Mr. Harrison, Curly, Aunt Rosemary, etc. out of my mind. Seriously...don't steal the plotline formula of a classic like Snowy River and expect it to effectively translate!

Liked it better when it was called "The Man From Snowy River".
This was a fun low budget movie that was a clear rewriting of "The Man From Snowy River".

Not too good.
An Indian actress playing an Anglo princess is passable. I mean she's a good actress, but she doesn't look the part to me. And the lead male has a North American accent, so you might call this film forward thinking. It's another D&D crowd funder, or at least it feels like it to me, and essentially does the job of telling the tale of a would be dragon slayer. But again, like the Griffen movie I just reviewed, the CGI dragon looks like a CGI dragon. Even so the film does try to give a reasonably artistic dragon hunt tail. Personally I found it inspiring that such efforts are being made to bring the old game to life in these tales, but the CGI for the critters they bring to life, is functional--and that's no compliment.Still, if you can get by that, then the film should entertain. Check it out.
