Mermaid fan
Daughter is obsessed with mermaid and she seen a friend with one of these blanket so I decided to treat her one. It’s not too think but it’s light and it keeps you warm. I like the fact its shorter at the back which makes it easier to put the legs in and then can snuggle up at the front. Although I think my daughter is slightly young for this(age 4) but it keeps her legs warm and keeps her still in a movie together lol.

The quality and thickness of the wool is not as good as some others for sale on Amazon and there is a huge variation between products of the same size. I ordered 2 different colours of the kids size. One is big enough to fit an adult and the other will just about fit a small child of younger than 6.

Lovely colour and very soft and snuggly
This is effectively a mermaid-shaped woollen tube in an attractive pink yarn with white flecks, knitted on large needles. It's very soft and very loosely knitted. It comes with a smart fabric carrying bag and would make a lovely present. I thought from the photo that it would be suitable for one one my granddaughters but it is too large and we felt it was more suited from about five or six to, perhaps, eleven or twelve. It does look good, the colour is very attractive and the knitted "scales" are very good. Once she is a little older this will be very popular.

Who doesn't want to be a mermaid!
This is very very cute. It is soft to touch and comfortable on the skin. It is more open weave than it appeared in the pictures. It is easy to climb into though isn't a one size fits all (will fit most children.) It's more open than I'd like, if you move around a lot it tends to flap open and not stay up - need to be sitting still which isn't great if you were wanting to use it for imaginative play.It's fun to look at and play with but not as durable as I'd like - kept snagging it on things.If you're wanting it as a mermaid blanket then it is fun to use but the open weave isn't the warmest.If you want it for the novelty value of pretending to be a mermaid then it's perfect.
