Sturdy but not smooth.
It wasn't too difficult to install. I needed a stud finder, ladder, drill and a socket wrench. It is sturdy as it held my husband who weighs about 230 lbs. The bolts that hold the little bar needed to be tightened and may need to be tightened again periodically depending on how hard your child swings. But my main issue is the swivel function. It does not spin in a full circle in one go as you may assume. It starts to spin, gets stuck, then clunks as it's finally forced to spin a little more. It scares my children and makes them think it's breaking and that they're gonna get hurt. I think maybe spraying WD40 may help but I wasn't aware of this until I already had it installed so it's probably going to be messy and might not even help. I definitely wanted a fully functioning swivel so it's disappointing but it's too difficult to remove and replace just for that reason so for now I will keep them. All in all it's not a bad product but just know it is not going to spin in a smooth motion and if you have young children they're gonna be terrified lol.

Perfect
I hung up a hammock chair for my daughter with an eye hook that was rated to hold 800 lbs. It broke in less than a month. So this was what we replaced it with.I am sure this will work better for her since it has 2 heavy duty bolts and it allows her to swing freely.I did have to get my husband's big drill out to drill pilot holes and the bolts were seriously hard to screw in, but that should make it more sturdy.

Very sturdy and holds the weight
I ordered these to hang up my sons silk. I love that I was able to get on and not have to worry about the bolts coming out of the ceiling like others have. If you want to hang a porch swing chair, silks, or even a tire wing!
