Great idea, ridiculously basic facts - not for teens, maybe for 2nd graders.
I was so excited to get this book for my 14 year old who wanted something a little more interesting to practice cursive. The idea is sound. The book is simple but well formatted. But check out these "facts" that, according to the title, "build knowledge in a young adult":The elephant is the largest land based mammal on earth. The Bermuda Triangle is located in the Atlantic Ocean.Weather radars are used to detect tornadoes and give advanced warnings.Cows and horses have the ability to sleep while standing up.Birds descended from a type of dinosaur called theropods. It is believed that dinosaurs lived on Earth until around 65 million years ago, when a mass extinction occurred. Here are a couple of the better ones (though still not that good): "Despite it's size, a hippo runs faster than a man." and "The sun is about 300,000 times larger than the earth."In all, my 14 year old could write more interesting facts off the top of his head and thought this book was insulting. I'm returning it. He'd rather copy the Declaration of Independence.

Fantastic workbook
With COVID-19 and maybe 2 hours of schoolwork at home, my teens need more and since cursive wasn't taught in schools around here, I turned to this product which the kids work in once a day. It's perfect and my high-schooler can now write legibly in cursive as well as my middle-schooler. This is a great product to teach your kids or just clean up on their cursive. I'd highly recommend this product.

Wonderful
During this "pandemic" we realized our 13 year old could not write in cursive much less read it....this book has been the best teaching tool we've invested in. It also has interesting facts. He is now writing in cursive and we are extremely happy with this outcome.

Science and Cursive, Two For One!!
I was glad to find cursive resources for middle school and high school students. Legible penmanship in the framework of Science is wonderful, it’s 2 for the price of 1!

Some of the letters have loops with openings - no one writes that way
I cannot return this because it's already been written in, but I'm really disappointed in the fact that it's not practical for someone trying to learn cursive - I've never seen the kind of open loops in lettering they use. When I look at the Palmer Method and other good methods, they do not have loops. It's difficult enough for kids to learn cursive at home, without learning it wrong. Also, the lettering is fairly light. If someone had poor eyesight, it would be difficult.
