Products 44-Inch Filigree Billiards Table Light with KD Frame

I really wanted to review this item for many reasons! First it was delivered amazingly faster than expected. I purchased it March 19 2017 and it arrived 24 March 2017. I like that it was shipped UPS too! It was Packed very nicely so that the delicate light would not break. I was amazed at how much 'lighter' the yellow colored panels were than in the picture on Amazon. I really liked the lighter color too. I wanted to show you the iridescent colored panels that really are spectacular! I originally thought the light may be too dark, but not so. I really have to give the looks of this light a huge 5 stars. We also hoped that they would provide enough electrical wire and chain link for the light as we are putting over a pool table. Boy did they! You will nicely receive enough if not more than enough electrical wire and chain link. we cut off about 3 feet of electrical wire and a couple feet of Chain link. We were not big fans of the grounding wire being on the outside of the electrical wire because you have to thread the tiny wire also up the chain link, but understand for several reasons it needed to be so. Once you get the light up you cannot really see the copper wire from the light to ceiling. Since we had to cut the chain link to the appropriate size, just know a black sharpie pen will cover any scratches that may occur. We went every other chain link for the electrical wire and it all blends in. This is a sturdy light, but yet the panels are delicate. The only thing that I wished is that they had provided instructions. I will tell you though, it was easy to put together from the bottom (floor) of the light up (Ceiling). The electrical portion is pretty basic, but if you are not familiar with the correct way to connect electrical lighting, I would recommend an electrician. Also the light is heavy enough that it will require you to get a ceiling fan bracket to be placed in the attic. Not just a regular ceiling light but a bracket made for a fan. I know you will enjoy this product as we do!

My husband got us a pool table for Christmas. Being the clever man he is, my husband marked off with tape on the floor where the table would be in the den, so he could position the light properly. And it looks GREAT - and it was a lot smarter to put the light up BEFORE the table is installed than trying to do it AFTER the pool table is there. It will illuminate the playing surface perfectly, which is what it's designed for. The table itself is coming tomorrow (yay!) so while the light just hung there, I took tape, some post-it notes and pennies, and string, then put together strings with bright post-it flags. I hung them from the four corners, because the corners are sharp, and it hangs at a level just where you don't notice it and could easily lay your scalp open. So the pennies in the post-it flags taped to the string has prevented that. My husband did see someone giving the light a low rating because this POOL TABLE LIGHT didn't illuminate the whole room. Well, duh!!! It's NOT SUPPOSED to illuminate the room, just the playing field. It says in the paperwork you may need additional lighting in the room. So if you read that, remember that writer did not read the papers that came with the light, and keep that in your consideration.

First light I got I had to return due to broken brackets that hold the glass in. The second one was much better except no matter what I did I couldn’t get the hole to match up with the peg, to screw the pieces of glass together. I ended up having to drill the existing hole out so the peg would fit. Once I did this, it looked beautiful.

I returned a pool table light last week because the metal frame pieces would not fit together. I ordered this one and was careful to ensure that it was a different brand name. I was surprised that this light is essentially the same as the one I returned last week - made by by the same original manufacturer, but marketed under a different brand name - and yet I paid about $100 more for it. Several of the imitation Tiffany (they are plastic!) panels were not secured to their metal frames properly during manufacture, but I was able to fix this by bending some metal tabs to secure them. The metal frame pieces all fit together properly. It is a good thing I made a copy of the instructions that came with the other light because the instructions that came with this one were nothing but drawings of the parts - no actual assembly instructions. There were also no wiring instructions whatsoever, but I will be having a professional electrician do the wiring and installation for me. I would have returned this item to Amazon, but it is not that easy to schedule an electrician and I already had to postpone them once when last week's light had to be returned. Thus I shall settle for this one and hope the electrical installation goes well.

This light is attractive and well made. It was packed perfectly, nothing broken. There's no way I could install this on my own. Even a handyman I hired had trouble installing it.

Maybe an older version of this was glass? Most definitely flimsy plastic. The instructions are kind of a joke, and the chain doesn't have any pieces that allow a quick connect. The lights inside are for regular bulbs to install at about a 45 degree downward angle (two separate hanging groups).

One panel was cracked...
