Great Tablet, Great Price
I have to admit I was skeptical about the quality of this tablet. My biggest concern being only 16GB. I already own a HP Stream which I love. This was also going to be my basis for comparison. But, I was quite surprised and more than impressed. Lets start off with the initial unboxing. It was nicely packaged from the manufacturer. It came with a charger and micro USB cable as expected. The screen has a thin film over it which you can keep on as a screen protector. Whether that was their intention or not, it's nice as it doesn't have any writing or ads on it. Also it is fitted to the screen as in, it doesn't overlap. You almost have you really look at it to see it's on there. Now I will cover turning it on and trying it out. It didn't take long to charge as it was probably 75% charge from the start. Setup was quick, as it will be for anyone who has set up Windows before. The screen was sharp, bright and the screen was responsive. no complaints there. The speakers aren't loud by any means but, their are two which really impressed me. Watching a video in landscape mode was more enjoyable than my HP Stream. I had an equal experience playing a game. So far so good. Don't expect to play any high end games, remember you are buy an entry level tablet. But thus far, capable of a good variety. Some people might be discouraged with it having Windows 8.1 preinstalled. One thing that one will notice is the lack of space on the 16gb internal drive. You may only have 2gb of space. I believe the recovery drive is using up 6gb alone. You really won't be able to do anything without a Micro SD card. I added a 32gb card which should be sufficient. Windows 8.1 doesn't allow you to install apps to the SD card so don't be surprised. This may make the table to appear only useful as a web browser. However, you can upgrade this to Windows 10. This will allow you to install apps to you SD card therefore boosting the performance immensely. Their are 20 days left from the time of writing this review. I recommend taking advantage of this offer while it's free. If their are some of you out there who are having problems upgrading due to the lack of storage, keep in mind it can be done. That was among the first things I did after setup. If you need help getting the upgrade I will be glad to help out any way I can. So, in summation. This is a very good tablet for the price. It has functioned well beyond what I expected and would recommend the purchase.

CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS AND THEY SEEMED FINE, BUT TABLET IS NOT WORKING
VERY COMPLICATED TO USE. TONIGHT I TURNED IT ON AFTER IT HAD BEEN CHARGING 24 HRS. AND IT SEEMS TO BE DEAD AS A DOOR NAIL. CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS AND THEY SEEMED FINE, BUT TABLET IS NOT WORKING. WHEN WORKING, PICTURE AND AUDIO GOOD. SINCE THEY DO MAKE REFUNDS, LOOKS LIKE I AM STUCK FOR $100.

Inexpensive Windows tablet
For the price it is a good unit. Pros: nice screen good size inexpensive Windows micro sd slot Cons: slow not a lot of internal storage screen scratches easily. Buy a screen protectors update:there is a plastic cover in the screen that was unnoticeable. Once I ripped that off the screen was not scratched at all I was able to upgrade it to Windows 10. Here is how. Install the 32 bit version of Windows 10 upgrade from a different computer in a thumb drive. Google how to install Windows 10 from a thumb drive Buy an otg cable this allows you to connect the thumb drive to the micro USB port. It is only a couple of dollars. On the tablet add a 16 gb or greater micro sd card Delete the Microsoft office install to free up space. You need 2 gb and this was the only way I could get enough space. To me office on this tablet was not very useful. Plug in the tablet and follow the wizard after about an hour and a few clicks you will have Windows 10 and more free space

Can't Go Wrong for $40
As a $40 Windows device, it's a steal. It's obviously not fast or supported well by the company that makes it, but I'm using it for a kitchen tablet for recipes and to send Groove Music and Pandora to a Bluetooth speaker and it works great. You can upgrade it to Windows 10, but there are a few extra steps which might be difficult if you're not techy. 1. Insert a microSD card that's 16GB or bigger. The thing only comes with 4GB of free space, so you'd probably want to do this anyway. Format the card NTFS. 2. Download the ISO version of Windows 10 32 bit and save it to the card. 3. Double click the ISO to mount it and run setup.exe from there. When the installer asks to download updates, say no and tell it not to save anything. It will ask for an alternate location to save files and you can pick your microSD card. 4. After installing, screen rotation won't work. You have to download the Kionix Windows drivers. 4a. Screen rotation will be miscalibrated after the install. Add the registry key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\SENSOR\0000\Device Parameters\kxfusion] "Orientation"=hex:01,00,01,00,00,00,02 From there you'll have the full 16GB of internal storage available and all hardware features will be working.

It worked great for about 2 weeks
I bought the Android OS version of this tablet. It worked great for about 2 weeks. Then it would not boot past the Ematic logo screen. The reason for giving it the 1 star is their poor warranty return policy. I shipped it back. I was told a replacement would be shipped out in 4-6 weeks. I'm in week 7 after it was logged into their system as received and a replacement still has not been shipped. When I call them all I get is a run around saying they only have had it 4 weeks. Even after receiving the email almost 7 weeks ago that they have it. I would not purchase anything made by Ematic.

Not very good
Extremely slow, really limited by the amount of memory.

A great tablet for its price
As with many other low-end Windows tablets, you cannot do many things with this kind of tablets. Really, you can only use it to browse the net, check emails and run a few Windows store apps. In our case, the tablet is quite useful. We tested it with CameraFTP Virtual Security System software and found it can actually handle at least 2 720P HD network cameras. If we carefully tweek the device and camera settings, it can handle 4 such cameras for cloud recording.
