I used this item to provide additional light under the X rail of my CNC machine. The light output is a claimed 500 lumens and I see no reason to doubt that claim. This bright warm colour temperature light (4000 Kelvin) gives a good spread of light onto the workpieces being machined. Another useful addition to the simple touch control system is the magnetic mount. This permits the light to be directed perpendicular to the baseboard of the machine or it is infinitely variable for an angle of 45° in front and back directions (encompassing a range or adjustment covering 90°). The light is mounted magnetically on a mount that is attached to my machine by double sided tape. When I want to recharge the Lithium ion battery, I can remove the light and plug in the supplied micro USB lead in a convenient part of my home.I can recommend this product for the use to which I have put it. It permits me to put light under the cutter and direct it onto the workpiece. Any mains solution would have required plumbing in the wires and ensuring they did not get trapped with the movement of the X rail or the Z carriage. This device sits happily on a 50mm wide rail and it permits the V wheels to traverse without impinging on them. Realistically, you will need around 40mm of width to apply the double sided tape of the sticky mount. A spare shaped sticky tape mount is supplied and a micro USB lead is also supplied. I consider this a good value product.

Hi all,Bought this product for extra light in the kitchen when needed. Was super happy with the amount of light and easy installation.After a few days when I wanted the light, it did not start. So I thought that I left it on or something. Charged the light and forgot about it. When I wanted to use it again the battery was again. Empty.It seems to discharge on its own if you just leave it for a few days.Edit:Semlos sent me a replacement unit. This seems to have better battery life. Not super great but better. The good thing is that I can now keep one charging while the second one is being used.

This light is amazing! I’m really happy with it. It is so easy to install. No drilling or screws needed. The brightness is great too. It is easy to adjust the brightness. By touching the side you can increase or decrease the brightness to your liking. As well as turning it off and on. For me the battery life is long, as I don’t have it on all the time. Mine is positioned above my hallway mirror. It’s used as and when we need it. I love this light and will definitely get more. This particular light unfortunately can’t be used in the bathroom, as it is not moisture proof. I’m looking for one to put in my bathroom at the moment. You will need a plug when charging. Only the cable is provided. I use the plug from my phone charger.

It's good but you can usually use it at possibly one place where using magnets, you connect it with its base which uses adhesion. Without the base, you need to either keep in hand or keep it simply on the surface - both methods opposite to the reason of buying such light.

Love this product, super easy to install just an adhesive pad stuck to the wall, then you can clip the light to the pad because it’s magnetic and it stays up 100%. Didn’t realise the light was turned on by touch activation (like tapping the side of the light) but that’s pretty cool. The light it casts is more of a cool tone than a warm tone & the battery life isn’t great but it charges pretty fast with the USB charger that it comes with. Would defo recommend also perfect for students

I bought this lamp to use as a backlight on my computer screen, projecting light to the wall. Initially it was performing as expected and as described. But after three months it started to loose intensity and today it has perhaps one third of the brightness it had in the beginning, making it unusable. Also the small magnet that is on the back of the lamp, that is there to stick the lamp to the sliding bar, broke by its own. I have only tilted the lamp two or three times, so it broke without any use, one day it was out. Very poor quality overall.

I bought this light to go above my desk, it was an alternative approach to installing a new light via the electrics. This product is amazing for value, it is bright but does not blind you when using. The feature of being able to angle the light is very useful. The product comes with a self-adhesive pad which allows you to stick the docking station to your chosen surface. I would not recommend attaching this to a wall as it will not stay, but to any wooden surface, metal surface or anything similar. I have put this light on a whiteboard, I stuck the stand to the whiteboard and it is very sturdy.

Ich habe einen der typischen großen Ikeaspiegel an der Wand und wollte dafür eine Beleuchtung, ohne etwas in die Wand bohren bzw. an die Wand kleben zu müssen.Da der Innenrahmen des Spiegels recht schmal ist, gab es nicht viel Auswahl und ich habe mich entschieden, diese 3W-Leiste auszuprobieren.Ich bin nach nur kurzer Zeit komplett überzeugt und werde die Lampe auf jeden Fall behalten.Zum Produkt:Das abgestrahlte Licht ist kaltweiß. [keine untersch. Farbtemperaturen]Ein- und ausschalten geht völlig problemlos schon beim geringsten Kontakt mit dem Schalter/Button (seitlich an der Leiste). Hält man den Finger - ohne größeren Druck ausüben zu müssen - einfach etwas länger auf den Schalter, dimmt das Licht von selbst runter und dann wieder rauf.[In Referenz zu anderen Bewertungen: Der Dimmer ist integriert, so wie es angegeben wird; nicht extern.]Das gedimmte Licht ist vergleichbar mit einem Nachtlicht, das max. Licht so hell, dass es problemlos (als einzige Lichtquelle verwendet) einen 20qm Raum ausleuchten kann.Die Magnetverbindung ist recht stark und dennoch lässt sich die Leiste im Sockel mühelos drehen. Eine wirklich sehr gute konzeptionelle Idee, wie ich finde, denn so lässt sich das Licht flexibel und ganz nach Belieben Richtung Boden oder Richtung Raum drehen.Und auch wenn der Magnet gut hält, mit etwas Zug lässt sich die Lampe ohne Probleme aus dem Sockel nehmen und mobil nutzen.Zur Akkuleistung kann ich derzeit noch keine Aussage machen, da ich die Lichtleiste erst kürzlich erworben habe. Ich hoffe allerdings, dass eine volle Aufladung über einen längeren Zeitraum vorhält und meinen durchweg guten Eindruck der Lampe nicht verdirbt.Sollte dem so sein, werde ich sie garantiert bei weiterem Bedarf erneut bestellen.
