This worked perfect and it should as it is an O.E.M cable. I recommend when buying a new cable to buy the clamp that bolts it to the housing as the bolts on the clamp are usually rusted and need to be cut off. Would be nice if a new clamp was included

does the job better than cable that it replaced

I have been using Ridgid tools for a long time. They are well made and last a long time. This purchase is a replacement for the power snake tool for which the snake broke after decades of use cleaning all kinds of stuff out of pipes. You can purchase the assortment of ends that connect to the end of the snake. things that hook on to the clog so you can pull it out or cut the clog into small pieces so they can flush things out. figure out if the clog is hard, soft or stringy etc. Care also needs to be taken to clean everything after each use to remove corrosive materials and acids.

Unclug drains

The original snapped about 2 feet from the end after about five years of use. This replacement kinked and was unusable during its first use, the kink was about 3 feet from the end. I repaired both with a replacement end piece that sort of screws on, but this took about one hour on one unit and two or more hours on the second. I would try to repair before buying a replacement, but I did not know repair parts were available until later.
