Needs a fan to cool 3.5 in HDD's if your gonna leave it in the carrage.
Very functional.Likes -Easy plug and playOn and off switches for both portsCons -The power and sata connects are mirrored on the back. Basically one set of power and sata plugs are upside down. This proved to be a little bit of a problem for the sata power cables as the default cables from the power supply have standard lengths. So one set of sata and power plugs are upside down.Lack of cooling for 3.5 in drives, Really need a 40mm fan installed.

fragile plastic levers and ejection system
I bought a Silverstone SG12 case and couldn't use use 1070ti nor 1080ti without the sensitive backside of the card touching the drive cage. So I removed the cage and bought this stuff my HDD and SSD into.I regret buying this.It broke immediately upon installing the HDD. I'm too afraid of ejecting the SSD after seeing how the plastic built ejection level snapped on the installation of the SSD.I wish I would've read the reviews first but instead just bought this assuming it would be a quality SilverStone product that would match up well with my SG12.Please stay away from this ESPECIALLY if you plan to swap drives from time to time because I can't imagine using this ejection system over and over again. It never even worked once in the HDD bay.Very upset and dissapointed.

Junk
Poorly designed using inferior materials. Ejection and frame is all plastic. The 2.5 9mm drive had to be rocked up and down to force plug in due to socket mounted/installed on warped frame. You could feel the extraction lever bent to the point of breaking. USB 3.1 gen 1 is a marketing ploy (Bull) is no different than 3.0.

The device broke after one use, I had to return it.

Does not take a true SAS hard drive.
Does not take an SAS drive as the description says. ONLY takes SATA drive. It damaged my drive by breaking the the connector between power and data connection.

Bad
The parts to secure and eject the drives are cheap plastic, drives get stuck and the ejection mechanism broke after maybe 6-8 HDD ejections for the 3.5" bay.

Flimsy, Not Up to Usual Silverstone Quality
Bought this because I've had very good experiences with Silverstone products. Sadly, this was not up to their normal standards. As others have said, this product is made of cheap plastic. Like many others, one of the levers that ejects the drives from their bays has broken. (In my case, the lever for the SSD failed while I was trying to extract a very snug 2.5" SSD.) It's really too bad, becuase while there are a few combo 2.5" and 3.5" combo bays like this on the market, this is the only one I've found that also has any number of USB ports. Great concept, terrible execution. I hope Silverstone reiterates on this idea in the future, hopefully with stronger materials.
