This is a great product that fits perfectly in my Hotpoint dishwasher.However, I find myself needing to replace this cutlery basket every year. The bottom part tends to break down, allowing cutlery to fall through. This is a significant issue, especially considering it's a relatively expensive part for what is essentially just plastic.I wish these baskets were made of metal. The durability would be greatly improved, and it would likely last as long as the dishwasher itself.Delivery was prompt and the basket was well-packaged.I would recommend this product to owners of compatible Hotpoint dishwashers, but with the caveat that you may need to replace it frequently.

Used in dishwasher and it’s the third one purchased. Regrettably knives after some long time useCut through the bottom, could do with being thicker or stronger material..

Overall a good product. This is the second replacement basket I have purchased for my machine which is a good direct replacement for the existing one which eventually failed. The weakness in all these aftermarket baskets seems to be the bottom mesh where over many wash cycles the plastic begins to become brittle and breaks allowing smaller items like knives and forks to slip through the mesh and prevent the bottom wash rotor from rotating, thus resulting in an inferior wash cycle. With this in mind I would class the basket is fit for purpose but I think you have to accept that it is a 'consumable item' and after many wash cycles the mesh will eventually fail and the basket will need to be replaced.

bought this to replace a broken one ( from original purchase of dishwasher over 5 years previous ) and it has only lasted 18 months before bottom has broken so much that all cutlery falls through. had to purchase another already. not sure if they will all be the same as they are not 'manufactures own' buy surely should last more that 18 months? and we only have the dishwasher on 3 times a week!

I received this product on 21st of August. By mid- September, as you can see on the photos, the plastic broke in several places, meaning that the cutlery falls through the holes. The handle is such a poor design and flimsy that when you pick up the basket with cutlery in it, the handle comes off and what is left of the basket falls out. This is the worse item I’ve purchased in years.

Arrived quickly and fit perfectly

I find I purchase a new one of these once a year. The compartments are helpful for holing cutlery and is a direct like-for-like replacement for the original. The reason they only last a year is the bottom of the basket tends to brake, allowing items to fall straight through. We have made sure we put cutlery into the basket carefully and not drop them in, but still the bottom of the basket wears and brakes. It could be the material it's made from wears after being submerged in water 2/3 times a week. If it lasted longer, I would of given this 4-5 stars.
