My first indication this was a poor quality product was right out of the box we tried out the "music" feature. So creepy!! I would describe it as a horror movie version of It's a Small World. Very robotic and tinny children's voices singing random children's songs. "Happy Birthday", "Jingle Bells", who wants to listen to this when they're trying to fall asleep? My stepson heard the songs and said instead of helping him fall asleep the music would give him nightmares! I think a more traditional white noise/ocean waves/nature sounds or maybe some kind of magical twinkling sounds to go with the unicorn theme may have been a better choice. That being said you can use this without the music - thank goodness.One positive thing is the remote works very well and I like the color changing options.The projector worked well at first except that the pictures aren't as clear as I had hoped they would be. We tried moving the projector around to different spots in the bedroom and it didn't seem to help the clarity of the pictures. Also, why is the unicorn upside down? My daughter doesn't mind this but my OCD keeps asking why they made it this way. The first time my husband saw this projector in action he asked the same question.We could overlook these issues if it wasn't for the fact that barely 3 weeks after using this projector it sounds like the motor is wearing out already. It makes a terrible grinding sound when you turn it on. Similar to the sound a ceiling fan would make if the bearing is going out. Thinking maybe the cover was just loose I took it off and ran the projector without it - still making the awful noise. My daughter suddenly became afraid of the dark and hates to sleep in her room alone, which is why I purchased this projector in the first place. I really wanted to love this. Having a projector night light has helped her a great deal so we will likely be returning this one and looking for a replacement.

I'm ok with it. My daughter loves it though and thinks the remote is the coolest. The first one we got stopped spinning after a week but they replaced it. My only other issue is it can only be controlled by the remote. We bought this for our 5 yr old who has two 3 year old twin sisters. Most adults can't keep track of their tv remotes so we'll see how long this lasts. One thing I do know is if it breaks again or we lose the remote my daughter will be devastated because she really does love it and that's what matters to me. Also, the unicorns are upside down as they go around the room. I feel they should be facing the other way, but maybe I'm wrong.

Sooo.... Dont know if this would bother anyone else, but the light projector rounds counterclockwise. Which makes the unicorn look like hes galloping backwards. It bothers me soo much because it just doesnt make sense. Im sure my toddlers dont care though. Also, i thought there were multiple unicorns like a carousel, but i was wrong. There is only one. It has to be almost pitch black for you to see the lights even with the cover off. I kind of feel like returning this for the price, but i probably wont go through the effort. The remote control has to be pretty close to the nightlight for it to work. But it does come with many cool options like adding other colors to the cycles and flashing sequences. The songs are kind of muffled and raspy. I have not tried connecting my phone into the stereo on the nightlight yet.

It lights up the room wonderfully and the remote is nice.Cons: The machine is loud, too loud. Our 4 year old likes it but doesn't want us to turn it on because it is so loud. Each time you turn it on the volume resets to BLAST! Not nice at all as we are trying to get children to sleep. My last grumble is some of the larger unicorns have big black holes for eyes and look rather like a skeletons face.

The projector itself is awesome and my kids love it. My only real issue is that the remote is somewhat confusing (how exactly to do things) and you have to turn the projector off with a switch, not just with the remote. If my kids forget to switch it to off, it dies and has to be charged. Plus side is, you can play the sound/lights while it's plugged in. I plan on buying another for my younger kids room as well.

I really wanted to like this more than I do. It was great for a few nights, and then it began to make a loud grinding/humming noise when it's in the spinning mode. My kids insist on it spinning, so the noise keeps them up - not to mention that it doesn't sound entirely safe. I don't have the packaging anymore, so I won't be returning it, but still.Without the noise, it would be perfect. The unicorns are really cool.

The first one of these we received did not work. It looked use. The return was easy and it was replaced quickly. The second one we got works fine. The light show is actually really pretty. There are many different music choices but the music has a tin quality that makes it unpleasant. Overall the lights are worth buying it for.

I was excited to have this for my 8 year old daughter, but when we unpackaged it, we immediately noticed the design on the globe was poorly made. I’ve attached a picture to show: the unicorn is upside down so it looks dumb when it lights up the wall upside down. I’m going to order another brand and hope it isn’t just slapped together like this one
