The bread did not come sliced. It tasted very good, but I will go back to my previous order of German Farmer Bread, preferred the taste and it does come sliced for the same price.

This is the second time we ordered this bread. It is truly excellent bauernbrot and is my favorite bread. We received 2 large loaves. We cut it in half and freeze the halves. It tastes wonderful toasted or not. The first time we ordered this bread, it took 12 days to arrive, even though it was in a Priority Mail box. (I blame the USPS, not the bakery.) Thankfully, it still tasted great anyway. I loved it so much, I was willing to order it again. This time, it arrived in 4 days (NYC to North Florida)! Much better. The only critical comment is that it is very expensive! Almost $30 for 2 loaves. They are large loaves, but still! That being said, we will order this again. It really is wonderful.

It's got taste, texture, rind, and all good things I'm looking for in a bread worth eating. I love it and will get plenty more! Thank you for making an expat German very happy!

I was disappointed with the bread. It had no taste and springy. I grew up eating bread from Chicago - Cicero and Baltic ryes which were like the bread we had in northern parts of Germany. Alas, they are no longer as the owner's kids no longer had interest in making these excellent breads when the parents past on. I like bread from Dimpflmeier bakery in Toronto, but no one in SW Michigan stocks it. I order a 1lb loaf via Amazon but it costs was $9 to ship it from Toronto. I'll keep looking online in hope of real German/Baltic rye breads. It would cost too much for my family to ship from Berlin.

This Bread is sooo Good, authentic German Bread. It only took 5 days to come all the way to Hawaii!!! 🌺 I was not sure if the longer shipping time would affect the quality but it didn’t..!!!! I baked it with a little water in the oven for a few minutes and it was fantastic!! 😍 I definitely recommend it and I will order is very soon again!! The seller deserves 5 golden stars!! Das Bauernbrot schmeckt so gut, nur mit Butter, war ganz toll!!🧡
