Does exactly what a pencil flame torch is supposed to do
First of all, a pencil flame torch has a very specific flame size - if you need to have a larger flame, you bought the wrong torch. That being said, this is the perfect size for 1/2" and 3/4" copper pipe soldering.I am replacing a 20 year old torch head - regardless of what you read on the forums, they corrode or can get debris in the feed tube, air inlets, etc. Some models have a screen you can clean, but I opted to buy a replacement.The torch is perfect. The flame is really nice and consistent.

UPDATE: Not working correctly .. fixed please read.
Inconsistent torch control. Must constantly adjust to flow control for use. Would not recommend….Update- the company reached out to me and replaced the torch. This one works as expected. Great customer service. Would recommend and will use again.

This torch does not like the wind
Seems like a decently made torch, and it works fine indoors. However, in a slight wind (about 5-10 mph) the torch blew out several times per minute and had to be relit. I ended up having to throw a tarp over my project and work under it to keep the torch lit. I probably would not recommend this model for outdoor use.

Doesn't work, flame goes out as soon as lighter is moved.
Won't stay lit, immediately goes out when lighter is moved away from torch.
