I was really impressed with the quality of this paper. It has a wood grain texture to it. I used it to cover a desk that has curved trim pieces. The desk is sturdy but otherwise an eye sore due to a wearing paint job on original laminate I had done a few years ago. I've done 1 large, stand alone piece so far and love it! The woodgrain in the dark finish really make it look like a classy substantial piece of furniture. Some tips I have would have would be to go slow, take your time. I did give a very light spray of windex to the top of the desk and that really helped with limiting air bubbles. Where there were air bubbles, I found using a razor blade to make a microscopic incision in the bubble then rubbing it out worked better than a pin prick, the incision rubbed all.the way out and was not detected by eye or rubbing your hand across the desk. Because i also was using this on curved trim pieces, I removed any pieces I could ,and once covered , put them back on. Now, I did those all in one piece When I do the main desk, I am going to try and seam it in 2 pieces as air collected in some of the profile of the trim. It likely won't be noticeable to others, but I notice it slightly.
