I bought this (August 2019) as a new addition to my boat's electrical tool chest.My primary concern was AMP draw - and this, at 130W on a 110V was ideal for that constraint.I had watched a BoatUS Youtbue video that demonstrated using a butane torch - and was concerned when I saw the "expert" blackening/singing wire. - so I wanted something that would be slow and gradual. This Heat Pen fits that constraint as well.Being on a boat, storage is also a constraint - and this fits that requirement.I had to run this much longer than I would have thought - and I was concerned - as I've read reviews of other similar small form-factor heat pens/guns melting - or frying themselves when run too long.If you don't have the constraints of AMPs and storage - I would suggest getting a stronger tool for heat shrink tubing tasks.I may need to reconsider the butane torch option.Note: The cord on this is not very long (100 cm / ~39 inches)

I bought this to help get the bubbles out of the epoxy when I make phone grips and this is wonderful! Easy to use, easy on and off switch and heats up quickly

This product is extremely easy to operate however it does not get hot enough to emboss so if you want this product to emboss something you probably best to spend a few more dollars but if you want to really cool new blow dryer then nobody's had in the neighborhood this would work perfect

I love this little heat gun. I do a lot of diy crafts an im inpatient to wait for my paint to dry an this gets the job done very fast. Gets very hot very fast as well

Works great, has a nice compact size, much better sized for my application than that of a heat gun. I like that it has a switch on it, it works really well for heat shrink tubing for electrical wiring. I recommend you do not leave this heat pen in one spot to long or obviously it could melt some items.

Love this heat gun, works perfect for doing my craft projects! It’s easy to hold onto and is very lightweight.

The cord is too short. The cord is super short also I couldn’t even use it on my whole project without having to move my mold. Putting an extension cord on it worked until it was time to set it down, it s so lightweight the weight of the extension cord pulled it off the table and spilled some of my epoxy all over, choice words were said. Not a fun mess to clean up.
