8 in. Deep Throat U-Clamp

I used this clamp to fix (with glue) a door that was broken. I needed a really deep clamp, because of the design (not unusual at all) of the door. The clamp was cheap and worked really well. No problems to report.

This clamp was just what I was looking for. Recently, I order different items, and when I open the package, they are less than half the size of what I pictured from the photos. This U-clamp was the opposite. It was larger than what I expected, which was an excellent surprise. The finish on the clamp body is nice and comfortable. It feels good in my hand and seems strong. The only downside is the clamp is a little crooked, like it has a twist in the body. When I screw the clamp all the way down, the pivot piece on the clamp screw does not line up with the corresponding part of the body. It's just a little off center. Not a big deal to me, but I thought it should be mentioned. I'm giving it 5 stars. I'm happy with the clamp.

Super deep throat has come in handy. It's much deeper than any of my other big C-clamps. For my use they are great for the price. I've bought several. One of them, the alignment was slightly off. Returned it no problem. Still think they are great for the price and including the effort of returning one.I've only used them for projects that didn't need extreme pressure and so don't know how they would hold up for extreme pressure. Figuring the leverage, that's tough for a deep throat clamp.

The product is heavier than I would have liked, but works well.

Used to glue on a guitar bridge. Could have used a smaller depth, but not with the additional challenges the instrument presented. Is sturdy but not too hard to set in place. A good value.

If you ever need a clamp the extends far into your project this one will work.

So far so good I bought two of these to make my bench grinder mobile because I have 3 of them ( one for grinding one for sharpening knives / axes etc... and one for polishing )- so when I need my grinder in my garage each one is bolted to a 3ft wide and 8 inch depth piece of Plywood-so that’s why I needed these —and they hold each grinder In place without vibrations and other noises — just put a piece of black tape on the tighting mechanism just in case the little tiny ringing might start depending on the situation this stops when you turn on the machine - that’s my experience and I’ve used and switched out my bench grinders and the tape is still the same piece of tape I put on- hope this helps someone
