if you have the 18oz round bowl, just imagine stretching the corners out square and adding the slightest bit of height. they are perfect for soup and cereal and look nice too. true to corelle's name, they are light and sturdy.

I just bought a second set of bowls to add to the first. If you've never used Corelle plates and bowls, you don't know what you're missing. I don't fully understand the engineering behind it, but they've managed to create a kind of ceramic that is incredibly shatter-resistant. As a result they can make these things very thin and light. If you ever do shatter one, look at the exposed edges. You won't find the bubbles and grainy edge found in most ceramics.These are also next to impossible to stain. They are not porous at all. So they are very easy to clean.I've had Corelle plates and bowls many times over the decades. I'm not sure if I've ever had one break. Probably once or twice. And I have dropped them more than a few times. Helps if you have a polymer-based floor like with linoleum. They give enough to allow these to bounce. If you have a hard stone or tile floor, you'll have an easier time shattering these if you knock them off your counter. But I've been surprised at how many times I've seen these just bounce when I thought they were gonners.I've had other plates and bowls along the way. I've seen a lot of them fail. It blows my mind when I see these in restaurants too. They survive well there, despite the typical abuse by wait and kitchen staff. I'm not sure why most restaurants buy such fail-y plates and bowls. Maybe for style. *shrug* Get these if you want practical.

These bowls are perfect size, they look great and match my plates. Shipping was great and packed really well. No issues with shipping at all. Definitely recommend.

Matches our other dinnerware perfectly, sturdy, and washes easily by hand or in the dishwasher. Stacks well and is microwave safe.

I already had some of these bowls. Needed more for my set. Corelle had absolute horrible packing. There was zero padding put in between the bowls. They were all stacked together, and as you can guess, one was shattered. It was obvious as soon as I picked up the box. Delivery person had to have known it and should have not delivered like that. Only one was broken so I just kept them instead of waiting another 3+ weeks for delivery.

Meets my expectations. These light glass type bowls arrived to my house with no packaging product cushioning around the stack of bowls. There was no padding whatsoever between each bowl. You could even hear the glass like bowls crashing together in the packing box even before I opened the package. My gut exspectation was that I was going to open a box with bunch of glass that would come tumbling out of it. When I opened the box and saw that each beautiful designed bowl DID NOT HAVE not one chip, not one crack, not one problem that I could see I was shocked and presently surprised. Wow!!! Amazing product. I knew a man who had the Corrrel dish ware that was very ruff on his dishes. I often saw him kind of drop these dishes into the porcelain sink and wonder how in the world did he get by without breaking all of his dishes or at best chipping them. Well I don’t have any intention on handling my glass bowls in such a manner but I do have kids and I am very confident that these bowls that I purchased will be able to stay as pretty, very light weight, and beautiful for many many years to come.
