The Finals Women's Xtra Life Lycra One-Piece Swimsuit

If you DON'T have the typical competitive swimmer body--tall, pear-shaped, flat-chested, with muscular butt and thighs--this is for you. I swim lots of weekly mileage (10,000-16,000 yards) and I swam it in misery until I found this. All of the major brand swimwear (Speedo, TYR, etc.) cater to that "typical" competitive swimmer body and the polyester fabric they're all comprised of has absolutely no give, no forgiveness or accommodation for breasts or curves, and the butt sags atrociously if you buy a size to accommodate any curves. I'm a very small person and I've had the most horrible time finding training swimwear. This fits perfectly no matter what shape I'm in and looks great up to 15-pound weight/muscle fluctuations. It is SO comfortable. I'm giving it 4 stars because you do have to buy a new one every 3 months or so if you're a serious swimmer--they just don't last 15 years like the Speedo ones that feel like cardboard on the skin. But the price is beyond fair and I'll wear these the rest of my life if I can find them--Amazon is running out! Once you find your size, buy ten of them. They're lined, they're flattering, they fit, they're cheap, they're everything--except super long-lasting.

I have been wearing bathing suits by The Finals since the 1970's. The construction and fit of this suit are fine; however, the color runs. The first time I wore in the (salt water) pool it lightened several shades and stained the clothing that it came in contact with in my gear bag. I would buy this brand and this style again, but not this color.

This is my 10yo daughter's favorite practice suit for swim team. We got in our team color so that we can use as a backup suit for meets. Fit is as expected. We buy one size larger for practice suits (more comfortable than the ultra tight fit of competition suits). My 10yo who is 5'2" and 95 lbs wears a 30 in this suit (for practice).

I'm 5'3 1/2" tall, approx. 124 pounds. I looked up the Finals fitting chart http://www.thefinals.com/size_chart/ and would have bought a medium/36 had I not looked at reviews. I bought a 38 and it fits great! I had purchased a speedo suit, the  Speedo Women's Pro LT Super Pro Swimsuit  also a size larger, but the National was a much more comfortable fit. I am not a regular swimmer but hope to start doing laps. The two suits have a similar style, but I liked the National better because it's a bit more stretchy. The speedo's leg holes seemed very rigid, and the hole in the lower back was a bit tight. If I gained any weight, I was afraid that the legs would get too tight quickly and any love handles might bulge out the back. From the perspective of a very casual swimmer, I would totally recommend!

I purchased this suit deeply discounted and was surprisingly pleased with it. I’ve only worn it twice, so I can’t talk about the durability, but it seems to be a good, basic workout suit.

This is a perfect fitting, good quality practice suit for my competitive swimmer daughter.

So happy with this purchase! I bought the TYR reversible diamondfit swimsuit before this one and it can't even compare. It became faded and stretched out within a week, even with proper care. This swimsuit, however, is significantly cheaper (compared to the $70 TYR swimsuit) and is far better quality. It fits like a bathing suit should and hasn't faded or began to droop even a little bit. I followed the size chart and it came with a fit as expected. I'm 5'6 and probably around 145 pounds. I usually get a 6, sometimes an 8, and the 34/Small fit great! The only thing that isn't ideal is that it is more shiny than I would prefer, but no more than the picture shows so I was expecting this. Overall, very satisfied customer.

I bought this swimsuit for my teenage daughter. She loves the modest fit and material, and I thought the price was great for such a high quality suit. Much better than something you could buy at Target or other big box retailers, for less money.

The fabric failed after 3 months of use (I only hand rinse my suits) it’s a baggy messy.I bought the same suit at a local swim shop (at double the price) and it has lasted a year. The only difference I can see is this suit was made in China whereas the suit that lasted longer was made in the USA.
