Had to wait nearly 3 days for my original brand one to fully dry as the cleaner would not work and seeing this item at a third of the price for a compatable type gave me some more cash in my pocket and works exactly the same as the original and just a twist to replace simple.

I am so annoyed. I ordered this filter in good faith. It did arrive quickly but the quality is terrible. I now have to go through the long process of trying to get my money back and I still cannot use my Dyson. What on earth is this company thinking about sending out such poor quality items? Even before I tried to fit it I could see that the quality was bad. It was coming apart. Then I tried to fit it into my Dyson and it got stuck and then further fell apart when I tried to take it off. Outcome? I am out of pocket, I now have to spend time getting a new one and I still cannot actually clean my house.Out of desperation, I had another look at the Dyson only to realise that it was NOT the filter that was the problem. There was a blockage inside the drum, which I could fix myself.Amazon were brilliant about giving me a refund via the chat option.

This filter is a very tight fit on my hoover and needs a shove to get it in place. It seems to work fine but when you come to cleaning the filter you can see it’s not actually very good. With a genuine filter the water slowly moves through the filter and can be held within the filter to shake and wash. This one just runs through. Probably does a similar thing with air so isn’t actually filtering much. May be OK for a day when eating for a genuine filter to dry but Think I’ll buy the real thing next time.

Since installing the new filter it’s like using a brand new V10 again!! We have 9 cats, a dobermann and two young children and partner is a plasterer and we live on a working farm- the Dyson gets a lot of use. In the 2 years since buying the v10 we’ve been more and more disappointed in its performance so I thought it was “worth” trying a new filter. I wish I’d bought this filter a year ago!!! Game changer. Suction is like new, battery performance is radically improved and the carpets are simply cleaner since replacing the filter. Well worth it!

You need a spare filter because when you clean it, it talks a day to day- and so you cant use your Dyson. Reluctant to pay the Dyson price for a spare, this one seemed to be a good alternative. It fits on and works perfectly well- but strangely it sometimes howls as you vac' with full power. I guess it isn't as finely tuned to the Dyson's high tech motor and the genuine replacement. But we put up with it.

Delivery was very fast and the item arrived the next day. Unfortunately it doesn’t work on my dyson even though it says it’s compatible. It is very slightly different in length than the original dyson filter. Am returning it for a refund and will order an original dyson filter direct from dyson.

It fitted and the machine worked, but the Dyson's filter warning light came on immediately. The brand new, unused filter caused the Dyson to say the filter needs cleaning, presumably because the air flow is poor like that of a clogged filter. So not really compatible then.

Given 1 star as not able to give zero! I had previously bought one of these and was confident to do a 'buy it again'. Disappointed with the extremely tight fit, had to push on and prise off, will not buy a compatible one again.
