Great flash!!! (when you first get it)
Great flash!!! For $40 you can't beat it. Check out my picture of Gizmo in the user submitted photos. This is pretty much the exact same flash as the Sunpak DF3000 flash they sell at Walmart for Canon and Nikons (and that one is $20 more!) I'm using this on my Pentax K5-IIs in manual with full power flash. It's a little tight of a fit to get it in the hotshoe so I filed down the plastic sides of the mount on the flash a little and it squeezes in there, lol. I just got it yesterday and I am already very pleased with my purchase. Well built for $40 and recharges quickly using 4 Energizer rechargeable lithium AAs. I'm sure this will be great for portrait shots when flash lighting is needed, adjusting the exposure as necessary. I recommend getting a Stofen Omni-Bounce diffuser to accompany it. A mini softbox would probably be nice too! Get this flash first and you may not need a $400 one. SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? GET ONE!!! NOW GET OUT AND GET SHOOTING! :)UPDATE 7/9/13: After only using this flash a few times it has begun malfunctioning. When the flash is triggered it makes a loud 'crack' sound and the flash power is about half of what it was when I first got it. I gave this flash a good review when I first got it but if you only get a hand full of uses out of it before it craps out... Save your money and get a GOOD flash. The old saying rings true... You get what you pay for.

Flash Unit
I like this, only because it was a cheap version of what I wanted. It is not a fully automatic flash, like I will most likely invest in at some point, but it is very nice as a cheap unit. It works well, it fits with some wobble on my Pentax K7, and it flashes well.Bad stuffLONG recharge timeLoud recharge beeping thingDoes not fit all that wellNO electronic controls to adjust based on need, only a chart and a switch.Bottom Line,CHEAP Flash, only drawback is that it is extremely cheap, in both price and quality. However, for someone who wants to know if they need it without buying a $300 unit, it is fantastic.

Cheap, plenty o' bang for the buck.
You'll never find another flash with bounce/swivel for 50 dollars. It's a simple flash, turn a dial to bright or less bright, and it just works. I haven't got any use from the pc sync, and the wire that comes with wasn't very useful. When it was brand new it worked much better, but after a few months it's started making a high pitch sound, like the capacitor is still charging. It runs through batteries fairly fast, but again, for 50 dollars I don't think you can find a better flash.

Precision Design DSLR300 Universal High Power Auto Flash
The DSLR Universal High Power Auto is pure plastic its a good flash but it's not worthed the price and beside that shipping should be free of charge must of the companies give you free shipping anything $25.00 or above but this particular Flash is sold for $49.00 plus an additional $15.00 shipping fee wich I feel ridiculous I am not looking for free BEE but what is fair is fair I don't think I will do business with this company againThank youRobert

Nice flash
works great bust doesn't have a very good indicator to tell if your flash is ready to take another picture after you just took a picture.

simple flash.
it is a very simple flash, with no adjustments whatsoever, but if you use the recommended settings it will do fine. you do get what you paid for, so the performance is not amazing. i would recommend this for a remote trigger and an umbrella in anyone's home studio.

Four Years On, Still Does the Job
Simple flash, and it still works with my Pentax K110D. Swivels and twists just fine. AA batteries make it easy to take care of. Worth the money. One caveat: it does NOT come with a synch cord. Just the flash, but that's all you need.

Value for money
I was looking for a good flash but in no way was i paying $200.00. Price of $49.90 was it, with hope that it would be the way it was presented. Yes, value for money, can't ask for more. Flash even had some features not present in high-priced ones.
