Convenient size and beautiful design
The canvas cover is durable, beautiful, and soft. The pages are thick and have a good texture to them. I would recommend this product.

Great for certain mediums, and it's cute
I got the 5X5. It's small and cute and perfect for smaller sketching or travel. It doesn't have a paper weight listed, but it feels like 90lb paper. The paper itself isn't pure white (more cream) and has good tooth/texture. I tried it on the following mediums:1. Alcohol Markers: blends beautifully, bleeds bad so can only use on one side and you should have a protective insert like spare watercolor square behind the page you are working on.2. Prismacolor: blends well and allows for many layers without losing tooth.3. Water based markers: avoid. paper tears, doesn't hold well with harsh brushwork and synthetic brush tips4. Micron brush and ink: works well. Fluid, no tearing, no bleeding.5. Gel pen: okay for line work, paper tears if too much applied / used to fill in area6. Raffine or KohINor oil pencils: okay, not much layering.7. Pastel pencil, charcoal pencil and soft pastels: flakes a bit, but stays on page well. blends well.8. Watercolor (pan and tube): okay for dry or light water application with natural fiber brush and gentle brush work. Doesn't hold well to heavy water or heavy brush work. Minimal buckle if water used sparingly / patently.Overall, I'm pleased with the number of mediums this paper works with. Basically, avoid water-based inks, heavy water use in watercolor, and heavy brushwork that irritates the paper, and you're good. The only bleeding I had was from the alcohol markers. I'll be buying this brand again in other sizes.

Good quality, very portable
I purchased the Square size in Cadmium Green. Everything is as described in the “About this item” (as of 1/15/22).The color is as pictured, if only very slightly darker/greener than in the single-shot product photo. It’s a beautiful earthy green.Durable, quality paper. Works great with pen and ink; I imagine it’ll work with/withstand other mediums as well.Sturdy cover & binding. The cloth cover texture and color are very pleasant. I’m by no means familiar with fabric, so take my words with a grain of salt; I would describe the feel of it to be like cotton, with the structure of linen(?).It seems like the hardcover plus the 8-signature binding (photo included) will make for a long-lasting notebook that’ll hold itself together through wear and tear. Hoping that this super portable (both in size and weight—it’s very light) notebook will help me practice drawing more consistently and in a variety of settings!

My favorite sketchbook
I would highly recommend this product for graphite, colored pencils, ink, gouache and watercolor. The quality of the paper is really nice. I mostly use it for watercolors, and it gives me everything I need for my quick sketches. I would advice to not do heavy layering on it, since it will peels. The paper does warp as well. But these things do not bother me in a sketchbook. I love the amount of pages it has. I got the olive green color and it is just beautiful. The clear pocket in the back comes in real handy. The only thing I would make notice of is that the elastic band that holds the book together when closed, deteriorates over time. It becomes loose and some of the elastic pieces will come off. This happened to my watercolor sketchbook from the same brand as well, so I see it is a general issue. But again, it doesn't really bother me. I love this book, and I will definitely purchase it again once I use it all up.

Mediocre at best.
Honestly, the sketchbook is pretty generic.First off, the cons. I’m not a fan of the paper at all. There’s a bit of a yellow tint which I HATE. I work a lot with pens, and since I can mess up once and a while, I usually have a white pen to correct by mistake. But the problem is, the paper is a bit yellow that you can tell where I made a mistake, because my white pen is so much whiter than the paper. It’s not too noticeable, but it is once you point it out.The next complaint is still related to the paper. I’m a mixed media artist, I like to include pens, markers, watercolor and gouache. But this paper can not handle watercoloring at all. It feels like your basic sketching paper, with a bit of sturdiness. When I tried to watercolor a background to test the papers strength, the color was extremely dull and the paper was already giving in. So I mainly stuck to pens and markers. The markers bleed through (which I expected) but sometimes it bled through a few pages which really was unfortunate. Now to the pros: the binding of the book is phenomenal. I feel comfortable leaving it flat as it won’t flip back and close the book itself, nor will the binding mess up when you leave it opened, which was the main reason I never liked the binding of sketchbooks like that initially and the main reason I stuck to spiral sketchbooks. But this book is sturdy and the pages will never fall out. Probably my favorite part of the sketchbook.I’m also a big fan of the soft sturdy covers. I take my sketchbook everywhere I go, so I’m glad I don’t have to worry about little stains messing up my art when I’m out and about. It’s just the right size for traveling and I’m perfectly happy with the size.Overall, this sketchbook is pretty fine. If you’re just using it for generic pencil sketching, get it. It’s very beautiful and simple and I honestly don’t regret buying it. Not the best sketchbook I’ve had, bit pretty good. A solid 7/10. Would I buy it again? Probably not, because the real killer is the yellow tint of the paper. But I now know I’ll buy something similar to it.

FAV sketchbook, very versatile
Love this sketchbook, paper, size, the elastic to keep it closed, the plastic pocket on the inside back cover to stash little ephemera, flower, etc. I've used this particular style sketchbook for years and have gone through quite a few of them. The paper is quite durable, as I use: pen & ink, watercolor, colored pencils, collage, markers of various kinds. It's perfect size for traveling, fits in a purse or bag. I can clip one of my favorite uniball pens to the elastic, add my mini watercolor palette box & waterbrush and I'm good to go.

Excellent little pocket sketch book.
This book fits well into pocket… also I have been using watercolour pencils, paint and fine liner pens on paper with out bleeding through… because it’s such a small area I don’t use very much water on paper, get a little bit of paper wrinkling but that goes when kept closed with strong elastic band attached to book. Good product.

Will definitely buy it again.
Enjoyed using this sketchbook because it's relatively affordable and I don't feel the need to make everything perfect so I can test and experiment. However the paper is good enough to take up to 2 - 3 layers of watercolours.
