Poor instructions - decent value. No video in my situation.
Bought this to allow showing photos on larger screen (slide shows). Once you figure it out, it seems to be a very good value for that purpose. However, it does not readily stream video (at least the way I have it setup now). The audio from the video comes through fine, but screen remains dark and after about 60 seconds you get an error message indicating a problem with the video and it quits. However, images from the screen broadcast fine.As for the setup - the instructions are very confusing (at least to me). There is no physical button on the dongle (the center indentation is neither a physical or touch sensitive button on mine). So, I decided to just use the dongle's wifi option use it with my Apple devices:1) Install the app on your iOS or MacOS, attach the dongle to the HDMI input on your TV and plug the dongle into its power source (you have to provide transformer).2) Change the input on your TV to the HDMI port used and a MiraScreen screen should show up (with a QR code).3) On your OS device, use the WiFi settings to connect with the "MiraScreen xxxxx" option and enter the password provided the Mirascreen screen on your TV.4) Turn on mirroring.

Frame Drops, config issues
I connected this to my Mac. When I play video the sound is fine, but I get constant frame drops. I tried lowering the resolution, rebooting every wireless thing in the house, moving things around, and still frame drops. AppleTV doesn't have this problem. When I screencast via software to my Firestick or Firecube, I don't have this problem (that software had its own issues). The configuration is another issue. The software is laggy. It took forever to get it on my own wireless network. Once I did I was able to stream netflix from my laptop and first ran into the framedrop issues. Thats when I tried a video file sitting on my macs hard drive. Same issues. Anyway, in attempting to resolve the frame issues the thing got reset. While it said it was on my local nbetwork, the only way I could connect to it was via its own wifi and SSID. This meant that I was no longer on the internet, so I could forget about using this for ANYTHING other than locally stored files. There was an option for 5G and it wasn't greyed out, but it still wouldn't let me select it.I'll be returning this and putting the $$ toward a refurb or used 4th gen AppleTV, which is exactly what I was hoping to avoid. It is also worth noting that the usb cable (for power) is only about 18 inches long. So unless you have your usb plug REALLY close by, get a usb extender as well. But you're better off just not getting one of these, period. The only reason I gave it two stars was because frame drops aside the picture and audio quality were quite good.Still, getting boxed up and returned.

Very Happy
I had been using an USB-C to HDMI Adapter and cable to share my phone screen to a TV. I haven't used the Wireless Display Dongle a lot yet and the TV it is hooked to an older 1080p, but has been wonderful. No more holding things up while I drag a cable out and hook power up to the adapter. Where I use it the WiFi is spotty at best. The fact that it doesn't use WiFi makes life so much easier. The image and sound quality are great. To beat it all the Wireless Dongle is far cheaper than the USB-C to HDMI Adapter and cable.

Crashes every time you use fullscreen
Its ok works i guess but i bought this so i can watch hulu and netflix on my tv i guess it works kinda but it freezes any time you turn on fullscreen so if you want to watch videos like your holding your phone upright it works with the tiny 1/3 Phone screen on a full tv so 50% isnt being used lmao but if you want full screen its gonna crash over and over again every time you try and it freezes my iphone when it happens too which is super weird because its brand new and thats unheard of so after a force restart its ok but still messed up so ill probably never use it but if you want to its your money just a heads up because no one in the comments said it before i bought it i assumed it worked just fine for 30$

Hope it works, but it makes my iPhone reboot
Quality looks acceptable. USB cable little short. I took couple times to connect the device and setup connect to Internet. It is easy disconnected between my iPhone and device. I tried play YouTube, it can play, but hard control. almost make it play from start every time I wanted to move forward or backward. I almost want to accept it because I just want to play YouTube. But...I tried iPhone Screen Mirroring. First time, my LG monitor displaying nothing, and no way to get back to home screen. I have to take off power; tried again, this time, my iPhone and my monitor are all display nothing, press button, nothing response. After couple minutes, my iPhone reboot! -- I feel it is dangerous product, at least it is not compatible. Return!

Works well
This device works well with the included software. It doesn't add another display, only mirrors an existing display. I can not get the Windows 10 Connect app to work with it though.*UPDATE* I got this to work with the Win10 Connect app after many tries. The Connect app does add another display to my computer, which is nice. But MS Connect seems to drop out more often than the ezMira app that comes with it.

Doesn't Quite Do What it Says it Will
Successfully got it to mirror my iPhone screen--though the instructions are indeed confusing and tiny--but it wouldn't work with streaming services like AT&Tnow or Disney+ and wouldn't support full screen on YouTube. That's exactly the sort of thing you would use it for! It would kick the device out of screen mirroring almost every time and freeze the phone for up to a minute. Facebook videos were the only thing I could find that would enter full screen, but then the quality was extremely poor. Wasted my time with it until realizing it was a complete PITA to use and not worth the effort. Just short of garbage. Look for something else.

Barely works
The device works, but barely. Instructions are lacking and once you do figure it out, the device stops streaming every few minutes or so and requires you to restart the AirPlay session. I did not try it with MiraCast so cannot comment on its use for that. If you are looking for an AirPlay solution without having to put out $150~ for an AppleTV, look elsewhere, though I suspect that any non-Apple AirPlay solution is going to provide less than spectacular results.
