Helluva lot of fun, but no cheap toy. Highly recommended!
I've had this for a couple or three weeks, and it's nothing but a total blast! Kill-zone-reducers? Some may think of them more as "ego-reducers". When you get down to that 1/4" opening, you had better be a REALLY good shooter. It's great, though, that you can choose your own challenge level & get better. First I was surprised at the weight of the target as it is made of sturdy 1/8" steel. Assembly was a snap and took only a few minutes to complete. The reset pull-cord is a braided nylon cord that will stand the test of time, but is also easily replaced when the time comes. The pull-cord comes wrapped around a metal, hollow "bow tie" for wrapping and storage (nice touch). To use the target without it falling over, you will need to use the included 4 metal stakes; all well and good if you are setting the target on soft ground, but an issue on hard surfaces or rocky ground. To make it easier to use on virtually any terrain, I simply took a 12" x 12" piece of plywood, screwed on some edging, and drilled holes to accommodate four small bolts. I attach the target to the board using the bolts and wing nuts. This setup also manages to catch the pellets that drop for collection and safe disposal (hence the board edging). As I use this target exclusively with lead pellets, I can keep my grounds relatively free of spend lead rounds. For paint touch-ups (with high gloss Rustoleum or the like), the contraption is easy to disassemble, paint and reassemble. A bit of oil on the springs and hinges, and you're set. Fun to use, and great feedback for good marksmanship. As your skills improve (or the accuracy of your airgun), you can make it more challenging 1/4 of an inch at a time. Note: Though I've used this well with both my Benjamin Trail NP All Weather .177 cal Nitro Piston Pellet Air Rifle and my Umarex USA 2252267 Browning 800 Express .22 Pistol , is doesn't work well with my less powerful Crosman 3576 Semi-Auto CO2 Powered Pellet Revolver with 6-Inch Barrel . Shoot well and, as always, shoot safe.

Great for the backyard
This is the favorite target in my backyard range. Instant gratification when hit makes it the one everyone wants to aim for. The kids airguns knock it down no problem and it seems to stand up fine to adult airguns. The powder coating is wearing on mine due to hundreds of hits from powerful .22 airguns but no bending or breaking. Kudos to gamo for making something that everyone can enjoy. The line is very long and you can scale down the knock down area, so it works great for plinking with kids and then moving way out and challenging yourself!

Fun pellet gun target.
I have been using this squirrel target for several weeks and must have fired over a hundred pellets at it. It works exactly as it should. It goes down when you hit the yellow target and it resets easily with a tug on the line. The line is much longer than I will ever use. Its a very durable line, probably nylon. I put this target about 60' out and don't come close to the max length of the line. At 60' the target is challenging enough without using the reducers. If you are an expert shot or if you want to put the target close you can use the reducers. The smallest reducer is about a 1/4" hole. The squirrel and reducers are made of a nice thick steel. Pellets do not dent the steel but they will take the paint off. The squirrel can be removed and flipped over. I repainted mine once after 100 shots. It takes 10 minutes to disassemble and paint. It is very satisfying seeing the squirrel go down. Way more fun then hitting soda cans.

5 stars without the reducers
These targets work as intended. Several aftermarket manufacturers make thicker faceplates for them but the originals are tough enough to handle years of use with air rifles under 20 ft-lbs of energy. The string is a good quality without too much stretch. The reducers will routinely fall off when hit so they're useless for Field Target competitions and irritating for target practice. When assembling the targets you have to be careful when tightening the large nut against the faceplate. If you use a lot of torque without bracing the kill zone paddle linkage, it is easy to twist the parts so that the friction fit washer will come off a connecting pin. There are lots of Field Target clubs that have been using these in competition for years. At this price there's no target that can compete with the Gamos.

Good details, works, and has lasted
The gauge of the metal is great. Its taken shots from .22 pellets and .177 from light co2 to magnum springer. Pull string is more robust than I expected (woven poly string). The spikes to hold it down are great. Requires level ground. The kill zone reducers increase the challenge, but I have had them bounce off if I direct hit at the tab. Not a big deal. I've been disappointed by Gamo products before, but this is much higher quality in both design and execution than anything else I've see from them.

Fun knockdown target, good for 22caliber pellet guns
The target is small, but intentionally small so that you can practice your accuracy. The metal is pretty thin though. I would not try to plink with anything over a 22cal pellet though. I'm not sure that this metal will be able to take a centerfire round. There's a pretty good length of string included to pull it back up when you knock it down. I tested with a GAMO 22 cal swarm whisper air rifle using 22 cal GAMO pellets. It will easily knick the paint and put a small dent into the metal. It won't pierce the metal, but a quick coat of spray paint will remedy the scratches.

Well made and functions perfectly. It's meant to be shot with a low to mid range power airgun though, highest power would be something like a .177 cal gun rated at 1000 fps or a .22 cal rated at 800 fps. My .22 cal RWS 350 Magnum started bending the Squirrel silhouette after a dozen shots as well as putting dents in it that bulge out the back side at a distance of 20 yards. My Gamo Hunter 220 in .177 cal does no serious damage to it at 20 yards but might at closer ranges. I have a Crosman 1322 modded to go 495 fps, and it has enough impact power to knock it down at 20 yards with a hit on the yellow bullseye. This is a fun target.

Este es un producto muy bien hecho y de buena calidad, funciona perfectamente para hacer practica de tiros y además volver a levantar el objetivo con el simple hecho de jalar una cuerda. A recibido múltiples disparos de rifle 5.5 y no se deforma. Excelente compra.

Good plinking target, wing nut exploded off the back so I put on nylock nut, apart from that is fine.
