Shea Moisture Mommy & Me Pre/Post Natal Stretch Mark Body Butter, 6 Ounce

I wanted to wait a little while before reviewing this as it is obviously hard to tell if I like it after just one use.The smell of this stuff is amazing!!! It is subtle and not a perfumy/flowery smell, but it is sweet and I really love it.I have very sensitive skin and unfortunately cannot use most cocoa butters or coco amide products. Typically Shea butters can be irritating to my skin as well, but this product has not irritated my skin at all.I purely use this on my belly to hopefully prevent my already stretchmarks (from prev pregnancy) from getting any worse. I haven't noticed anything really drastic, but I have noticed that my stretchmarks aren't very prevalent. I am not sure if this is the cream or just less weight gain this time around.I really did not purchase this to fix my scars, but I wanted to really try to prevent them from getting more apparent, which it seems like it is working so far. Only time will tell over the last trimester.The only thing I am not a huge fan of is that I have to 'dig' the cream out of the container as it is hard until warmth kinda melts it down. So I use my fingernail to scoop it up and then have to rub on my belly. Not a big deal, but something you should prepare for.

A friend suggested this product and I absolutely love it! I've been using since I was 7 weeks pregnant, and now at 22 weeks, my skin is still soft and no stretch marks (fingers crossed). The smell and texture are great and it's long lasting. When I bought 4 more containers every single one was grainy. I was disappointed but told if I heat it up it will return to normal. I put 2 jars in a pot at a time (Didn't want to ruin my entire supply if it ended up not working) and warmed it over a low heat on the stove. Keep stirring until it's clear like olive oil, pour back into containers and chill in fridge. Product is back to the creamy consistency it should be. When dealing with natural oils, that grainy consistency can happen but it can be fixed!

This is my second review and another terrible experience! This is the replacement they just sent me for the one I received yesterday that looks similar to this. This should have a creamy color and texture and go on smooth. This is old, expired and separated and feels like sand paper when applying.I won’t be buying this product again from amazon! Very disappointed as this will be my 3rd replacement of this product that I paid for.

This stuff is so amazing. I had it for a few months but didn’t write a review from the beginning without actually trying to product. I have no stretch marks at all and I’m 32 weeks pregnant. When it was shipped it was a little oily, but you have to remember if it’s in heat then that’s what it’ll do. And the beads absorbs into your skin the more you smooth it in. I think it’s a great product , i love it and i will be ordering more.

I loved this product the first time I bought it so I ordered it again. Second time is came to me grainy, like gross sand. Not sure what happened. Would have loved to exchange it but couldn’t unfortunately. Not sure I’ll risk it and order it again. So sad! Otherwise when it is the right consistency it works great and smells so yummy!

I got this because I really liked the reviews, I'm only at 18 weeks, so I can't testify to its ability to prevent stretch marks. I can say that I'm not crazy about the smell, and hate the texture on my skin. After using it in the evenings, I feel like I have to throw the shirt I slept in in the wash because it's so greasy. I wanted to use it regularly, so I needed to find a solution. I purchased an 18 oz bottle of a normal frangrance-free moisturizer (I used Aveeno, but you could choose whatever you like), and I warmed up the Mommy and Me for 30 seconds in the microwave and threw them both in my KitchenAid. It helped make the smell less potent and made the oiliness much more tolerable. I can see myself using this daily for the rest of my pregnancy. It did alter the texture of the lotion, but not bad at all! I would recommend it as a solution to anyone who bought it and doesn't like the feel!

This stuff smells really good and goes on oily, but I'm in my third trimester and have not gotten any stretch marks (yet). It could just be hereditary, or it could be the lotion, but it's been a great product to use. I've tried other lotions, but this seems to be the only brand that lasts all day and I'm not constantly itching my belly because of the lotion wearing off. The reason for giving this a 4 and not a 5 was that when it arrived, the consistency was not right, but I think that's because it sat in my mailbox and froze with the snow storm we received. After mixing it up and heating it in the microwave briefly, the consistency became more 'normal'. Once I put it on and rub it into my skin, it still applies the same and gives me that oily, long lasting feeling all day.

This stuff. Smells great, feels great on your skin, and leaves my tummy feeling moisturized. Only down side is if you don’t like “greasy” lotion, this is not for you. I don’t mind it because it feels like it’s actually protecting my skin from more stretch marks

I brought this for my daughter in law to use during and after her pregnancy. I just purchased it again for her and her sister who is also pregnant. Highly recommend.

Wasn't happy with the product. Too perfumed and full of crumbles. Unpleasant to apply.
