RΟCΚΕΤΜΑΝ (Target Exclusive 2CD Edition)

First of all this is an excellent and heartwarming movie. Taron Egerton's singing and Giles Martin's new arrangements of the songs are a revelation. A reviewer from the US asks why it is not simply a compilation of Elton's songs sung by the man himself. That is not what this film (and soundtrack) is about. This is not intended to REPLACE the iconic recordings but simply to give a new reading of them. The CD is truly excellent and captures the fantasy feel of the movie brilliantly. See the latter and buy the former!

Have just seen the film and now playing the soundtrack for the first time since I received it this morning .Some of the songs are different interpretations but all the better for that -may have to see the film to appreciatethem more . Taron Egerton and the cast under the guidance of Giles Martin do the songs justice . There is a 'Musical ' in part where some of the cast chip in with some of the lyrics . 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road ' begins with Jamie Bell as Bernie and finishes with Taron . ' The Bitch Is Back' ' Saturday Night's Alright ' are crowd scenes but these different interpretations are good for the film . There is a new song , a duet with Elton & Taron as the end track (I'm Gonna) Love Me Again which is a great finale to a fabulous album .

Lost count of how many times we went to watch the movie at the Cinema and each time was like the first time. One of the best movie's and album for a long time.Standing ovation to Elton and Taron.Thankyou.

When I played my CD of Rocketman in the car, the player did not show details of the CD title or name the titles of each song. Similarly, when I played it on my computer, there were no details of the CD or the tracks. There was also a glitch or two on one of the tracks so I googled "is my CD a copy" and the report seemed to confirm my worries. Have you received similar reports?

I thought that these were somewhat ok covers of the original songs but are you sure amazon your not selling copies of this cd. iTunes didn’t recognise this cd when i went to upload it on iTunes, neither did my car sound system didn’t recognise the tracks either

Love the movie, love the soundtrack, Taron has such a nice voice!!!!

Hmmm... Been listening to Elton's cassettes and CDs since 1977 and am accordingly really sorry to opine that these tracks did not make the grade for me, despite the enormous effort that must have gone into making this disc.
