Osprey Europe Men's Syncro 5 Multi-Sport Pack

I bought this, with the 1.5l hydration pack, primarily as a convenient way of drinking whilst cycling. It is very comfortable to wear with the netted frame holding the rucksack away from your body. Doesn't completely eliminate a damp back but significantly reduces it.The main thing about it is that it is small and rigid. This is both a pro and a con: it's good that it doesn't move when you're cycling and it doesn't encourage you to pack too much, which can be tempting with a larger pack. However, it does mean that it is quite difficult to access anything in the main compartment, especially at the bottom but I just put stuff that I hope I don't need in the bottom. If you don't actually need the rain cover then removing it allows a bit more flexibility.The outer pocket is quite stretchy so it is possible to put a lightweight jacket, or the like, in there.The hydration system is very good with the magnetic latch on the sternum strap clip for the hose. However Osprey sell sternum strap magnets for use on other backpacks and I find it much easier to use one of those on this pack. It's just much easier to locate when bouncing along and seems a little stronger.Overall I'm very pleased with the pack, I just wish it had a little more "give" in the main compartment.

Excellent quality with big tabs on all zips making access whilst wearing gloves easy. Bladder storage is also very simple. However the main storage compartment is very small and tapers towards the bottom very tightly making the usable space very limited, even for a 5 litre pack.

Not the best internal access but lots of different places to store things. On the whole a pretty decent bag.The only thing I would change is make the waist straps removable as they get in the way a bit

Wanted a small sized rucksack to cycle with, so I can carry a few essentials. Perfect for the job, and doesn’t get your back all sweaty, which is great!

This is the perfect bag for cycling. Well made and has plenty of storage pockets. Typical Osprey quality.

I bought this for quick dashes into town on my bike. It essentially holds my D-lock a wallet and phone, my keys, and not much else. That's ideal for my needs. It has a helmet holding clip.I also bought a matching water reservoir for hot days (Osprey Hydraulics LT Reservoir 2.5L) which fits perfectly.The bag is well made, simple and does not encumber me while riding. I'm not sure that there's much else I would ask from it.
