I read some of the negative reviews of these pins and find I have to disagree with them. These pins fit perfectly. Yes, the ledge of support is small, but that’s what they all are for metal pins like this. Your shelf will fail, or the holes the pins are mounted in will fail before the pins.What some people may fail to realize is that the hole sizes that you’re putting these pins into vary way more than the pins. This isn’t real wood that most holes are in. It’s compressed wood or fiber of some sort and the tolerances of those holes are not the best. Yes, you have to work these in with a pair of pliers, but they aren’t going to fall out, either. If they fall out, you bought the wrong sized pin for your hole.I double-checked the measurement tolerances of these pins. They range in size from 4.81mm to 4.85mm. I checked against some other metal pins I had and those measured 4.90mm to 4.91mm. Both fit tightly in the cabinet holes in my cabinet. Those 5mm holes aren’t really 5mm even though they were drilled with a 5mm bit. If your holes are in real wood, then the fit will be looser.Amazon Vine sent this product to me for an honest unbiased review. Would I recommend it? Yes, absolutely.

These pins fit perfectly into my Ikea shelving units and kitchen cabinets. While they are very basic, they do the job. I will be buying more of these.

First off, these did not quite fit the shelves I purchased them for. That is NOT the fault of the seller, and did not affect my rating. I measured the peg holes, but obviously not well enough. Rather than return them and buy a different size, I just drilled the hole out a bit. This means they fit nice and snugly and are very stable. They are very good quality, especially for the price. My only issue, and the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, is that the metal plate is too thick to install as shown. Most photos show it in the "L" shape, with the shelf resting on the bracket and the side of the bracket touching the edge of the shelf. The bracket is way too thick for that. I tried it with 4 different shelving units and it wouldn't work. I had to install them upside down (as shown in a single photo) and rest the shelf on top. Not quite as stable as the other way around, but it works and the shelves haven't given me any issues. I would definitely recommend these as quality replacements for the plastic ones that come with shelving units.

This is my second go at trying to find the fit for my malm desk. I lost the original ones and needed to replace them to secure the shelves in the desk. These were the perfect fit.

Shipment was fast. They were much, much cheaper than similar item available at hardware store. They look and are the same size as the Ikea parts. They fit perfectly into the holes in the sides of the bookcase.

I liked the variety of having 3 different options, but one of the options (90 degree option) had holes for drilling into the shelf, I purchased these for the main purpose of not having the hole in the shelf so that the shelf could just sit on the support, now these will work the same and can sit on the shelf, but I didn't want the hole to be there and not drill into the shelf. In short if your buying these for the 90 degree supports just know they don't come as pictured and will have a hole for screwing into the shelf.
