Love it!
Very happy with this product. My dog has white fur and in her senior years has developed skin sensitivities that won’t quit no matter what the vet does. She’s on hydrolyzed protein food which helps, but she still gets red belly skin with some larger welts.I massage this wax into her paws and onto her belly skin to soothe the itch. She appreciates the spa treatment! As a bonus, the smell and feel isn’t off putting to me. I do wash my hands after but it’s not icky by any means.

Great product it seems, and even greater Amazon return option
I ordered this balm at the recommendation of my sister who trains dogs for a living and lives in cold Michigan. I’m in Kentucky and this ridiculous cold/snow/rain/mud weather has my 1yr old Doodle’s foot pads feeling pretty dry and sad. He loves running wild outside when we let him and especially running wild in the snow. Thankfully I got my order in one day, arriving the afternoon before a big snow. I went ahead and applied some to his front paw pads (the other dogs started barking at a cat outside so he dipped on me before I got his back pads). I love that it’s safe for them licking their feet also. They already feel better, and I’m sure he will appreciate it in the insanely cold weather this week. The only downside is my balm container was damaged. It looks as if the tub was dropped on the ground or a hard surface and cracked a chunk out of it, exposing the balm. My sister indicated in warmer weather or temps it would likely leak, so for $16 I definitely didn’t want any to go to waste. I immediately requested a return and explained that I do need the product and have to use it. Not sure if the fancy algorithm caught my words, but thankfully they offered a refund to my account in lieu of returning it (or them shipping a replacement immediately with the option to return the detective one) so that I can keep using it. I took the refund option and will place it in another container for safe keeps.I’m satisfied so far with the product (I know ours only been a day) and grateful for the return option causing zero hassle!

Saw a difference from first application
So far so good. Wrinkle’s paws have been a bit dry, I think from the salt on the roads this winter. I have been putting Musher’s on for about a week now, once a day, and I can already tell that it is helping. The paw texture is much softer! She tends to lick so I bought her rubber covers to put over her paws for about an hour, and that is enough time for the wax to fully melt into her paws. She gives them a little cursory lick after I take them off but that’s it. Excellent product!

Improvement after a week of use
I've noticed improvement after a week of using this product. After consistent use, my dog's paws are back to being soft. There's a reason why it's top-rated because it works!

Summer and winter
This is my favorite paw wax. It is really thick but it applies really nicely. It is a soft wax I use it both in the summer and winter.

Winter favorite
I got this for my dog because he was limping after coming in from a quick potty break in the snow. He must like it because he lets me put it on no problem, and it definitely worked. Winters over and I apply it every once in awhile when his pads seem dry. He does lick at it but it says non toxic.

Will continue to repurchase
Makes my dogs pads soft. The smell doesn't bother her at all like other paw balms do.

This is HIGH FAT and can trigger digestive upset and even pancreatitis in small dogs
I have mixed feelings about this product. The good:- It's quite effective. My little dogs paws were getting really dry and cracked just going outside to potty in this severe east Texas heat. Musher's secret did make their paws buttery soft very quickly.- It doesn't smell bad.- It even kept them from slipping as much as they normally do when walking on my hardwood floors. The not-so-good:- My dogs are little chihuahua mixes. Little dogs tend to have more sensitive stomachs than larger dogs. After applying this several times they both started not feeling well (they must be licking it off). My younger dog now will not eat anything (he started getting a sour stomach yesterday, only eating a little of his food, and this morning he refused any breakfast at all). My older dog vomited violently and also had some diarrhea (and also stopped eating). Due to his age I took him to the emergency vet, and he suddenly has pancreatitis. I'm very strict about what food I let him have, and this product was the only new thing he had been exposed to within a timeline that could have triggered pancreatitis. So my regular vet (the day after the emergency vet trip) told me to not use this on him any more. She looked at the product and said that while it does not have any toxic ingredients, it's basically pure oil (that's why it works so well). She told me oil is fat, and fat triggers pancreatitis. His paw pads are baby soft, but not he's feeling very sick and I'm out $1000 so far. He's also developed a cough, and the vet says that he likely aspirated during vomiting, and now we're hoping that he doesn't develop aspiration pneumonia. He's on two antibiotics, and anti nausea medicine, an appetite stimulant, and had to have fluids twice at the vet now. If my other dog doesn't perk up and eat something soon, he might end up on medication too. Thankfully he hasn't had any of the severe symptoms my other dog has had, and hopefully his appetite will come back soon. This product is the only thing that is new to them both that matches up to the timing of their symptoms, and common to them both (they have separate dog food since one of them has allergies). So, if you have small dogs that may be sensitive, consider that this product is high fat. If you use it, do everything to ensure they do not lick it off. For a small dog, it doesn't take a whole lot to upset their digestive system.I decided to give this product 3 stars instead of 1. Personally, I regret using it and will not use it again. But because it did do what it said it would (their paws are baby soft) I felt it was more fair to give it three stars with a warning to other small dog owners to be extra careful using it. Cover your dogs paws with booties until it absorbs completely, or put a cone on them.
