The fact that it contains the first recorded image of a Black Hole, compiled in earl 2019, indicated how current the information is. That information is very clearly related too, bu individuals who know how to share it with anyone, including persons with only a nominal understanding of cosmology. A treasure for years to come. Review: Great book - If you love space, You will love this book. I love the pictures.

My grandson loved this book.
My grandson, 18 yrs old, immediately took this to his room to protect it from damage. We did Christmas early so he was so excited by the great detail and pictures.

Gorgeous imagery, very humbling
This book is absolutely stunning! Perfect for artistic reference, astronomy nerds, and anyone who wonders what else is out there in our vast galaxy. When you look through this book and realize this is only a fraction of what we actually know of and understand, it's very humbling to remember we as a people and a planet are but a tiny blip in the universe.

After having read the whole book I am extremely disappointed. Many explanations to good graphic depictions are too short as if written by absolute lay people on astronomy. It looks like the authors have no real grip on the subject matter they have written. Most images remain thus unexplained. The reader is left alone with incoherent meaningless texts that show no context and thus make it near impossible to grasp any deeper meaning of any images. Also relatively few actual photos, way too many graphics which are superficial and all too often don't add anything to the reader's knowledge of the subject matter. If you only want to look through a coloured picture book, this is an okay book but if you want to also get at least an intermediate understanding of structures and phenomena in the universe then better read books like Paul Murdin's excellent 'Secrets of the Universe: How We Discovered the Cosmos' and his 'The Secret Lives of Planets' (both these books clearly lack in images but there are better books with actual photos in the visible light, infrared, x-ray and radio waves out there then this book apparently written by people whose subject matter expertise lies in subjects other than astronomy.

My 12 years old son loves this book. He borrowed this from library for few times. But he still wants to keep it.
