The Original Lava Brand Lava Motion Lamp 14.5" Pink Purple Silver

I have had lava lamps for many years and I have loved them all. But this one tops everyone of them. Pictures do not do it justice It is so beautiful I can’t take my eyes off of it. I will probably buy another one for my daughter like this one. In the last month I have bought four for gifts and myself but I love this one the best. Like the kids say it’s off the chain !!!

My granddaughter requested this retro Lava Lamp. She loves it and it performs just as expected. Might be the only one I could find. Just like my wifes from 60 years ago.

Bought this lava lamp for a Christmas gift but it doesn’t turn on. I think it might just be a burnt-out bulb; will update if and when we’re able to buy a new lightbulb. Unfortunately, neither the packaging nor the Amazon product page have any information on what size the base of the bulb is so it hasn’t been an easy fix.Update: Well we finally found a replacement bulb (it was a pain to find a new one) and the quality is even worse than we thought. First, the lava lamp isn’t even the color it was advertised as; we purchased a purple and pink lava lamp and they sent us a blue and purple one. Maybe not that big of a deal, but with the product finally lit up we found that the glass is completely scratched up all around (see picture) as though it were already heavily used. A concern we had with the burnt out bulb it came with is that it looked like it was used already. The scratches/heavy wear on the glass confirmed this for us. This was definitely a used product sold as new and for new item prices. Additionally the lamp (base and glass) gets SO hot when turned on. I burned my hand trying to move the lamp at the base after only being on for a few minutes. The other lava lamp we have (from a different seller) does not get nearly as hot, you can still pick it up and move it when it’s on. This is a huge safety concern. Hopefully we can still return but do not make the mistake we did and buy this item that someone clearly pulled out of a dumpster and resold as a scam. If I could give less than 1 star, I would.

Ignore the bad reviews, complaints about "cloudy" and other nonsense. This is truly the best, original Lava Lamp. If those people had read the instructions they would see VERY CLEARLY that simply running the Lava Lamp for a few hours clears up the cloudiness. These things take a few cycles to "break in", but once that's past, the Lava Lamp looks beautiful! I love the pink shade. I have a green one, and I've owned many of these things over the years. Never had a problem.

If you turn (it) on, squint your eyes, put on some Jimi Hendrix, and crank it up to 11, you can almost "flash back" to the '60's again!Cool little lava lamp!

Not a first time lava lamp owner. I understand it needs a few cycles for all to work.But inside the lamp there's clear defects inside the glass. Like tiny, bright dots (probably chips) that do not go away when the lamp is lit. Really disappointing as aesthetics are pretty much the only reason one buys a lava lamp.

It said it came it came with a bulb and it did not. I will do a review later once I figure out and buy a bulb.
