Works Well, Good Display Easy to Use
I noticed some of the online reviews complained about the time it would take the meter to "settle", I don't really notice that. It does take a couple of cycles to set on a value but not a lot more than other meters I have used. For a bench meter, after starting with a VTVM (tube, as a kid in the 60s), this is by far the best I have ever worked with and for hobby electronics and casual design it is more than adequate. The display is easy to read and nicely setup. The power up sequence is slow for my taste, but it is computer, everything seems to take a while. Probably has Android or some variation of Linux underneath. Can't really make a comparison with similar brands in this price point, but I like what I bought.

Great low cost bench meter, everything works for me.
I posted some pictures to help clear up some confusion on this meters abilities.MICROAMPSI read the MFG specs on micro amps, it reads like it only goes down to 200 uA. I should read the resolutionis 000.01 micro amps to 240 uA the range threshold is 0 to 239 uA then range changes to mA at 240 uA as seen in pictures.RESISTANCEYes, the continuity voltage is 6.4 volts and the resistance voltage is 1 volt. there was some concern about this damaging components. See the photos of the FLUKE 179's, they have an even higher voltage output .of 2.7 volts for resistance and 7.33 volts for continuity. I have never read a review questioning this on FLUKE.I have been using Flukes for 37 years and have never damaged anything with one. They have been an industry leader in test equipment forever. I think the Siglent will be ok too.SUB OHM READING4 Wire resistance testing, works great for me even with cheap kelvin probes, see photo's.INPUT VOLTAGE SWITCHYes, the power input switch is factory set to 220v, it also has a sticker over the power cord receptacle warning you to set your input voltage before you plug it in.BREATHING POWER LAMPYes, the power led breaths in standby and is on solid when powered up.I like this feature because it reminds me to shutdown my power strip. The only thing I didn't like about this unit is the carry handle is cheap and it removes too easily.I can live with that for the money I saved..Yes, the BIG name test equipment is better by far and is what I have used all my life, but for home or small business this equipment needs a look.Rigol and Siglent are two new names on my bench, to go with TEK, Fluke and Agilent, Remember they are made in China too. ;)Hope this helps.

Good value
Great meter. Responsive UI and loaded with features like LAN, histograms, and trend charts that you won't get from buying a refurb Keithley or Agilent at about the same price point.Firmware updates have fixed the slow measurement refresh speed you may have read about in older reviews.A few minor issues -- The setting voltage setting on the transformer in the back came set to 220V. Do check the switch in the back and flip it to your local voltage level in the back before turning on the multimeter!- The open circuit voltage in continuity test mode is over 6V! The meter could potentially damage sensitive components.- The LED on the front is always pulsing even with the meter switched off..

GREAT DVM
This review Siglent Technologies SDM3055 5.5 DMM. This is a fantastic product to add or update an existing lab, shop. Great for an engineer, Technician or hobbyist. It is very well made with large bright display panel. The user manual is great. Good detail, well written, and easy to understand. I've put it through some test and am very pleased. Checked stability over 48hrs, after 30min warmup (STD). and it was well within specs. Worth the money. Love it, easy to use.

Excellent.
I have had this meter for almost 2 years now. Been great, never been calibrated since factory. On DC it is only 400-600 microvolts low which is least significant on the 20v range at 5V which is the best I can do with my reference. However majority of my other gear which is spot on has been calibrated at a lower temp and the 3055 has been calibrated at a slightly higher temp which could be the reason for the drift. My Lab/Workshop is always between 69-71F at 40-45% humidity.

Good product for the price
Great DMM for the money. I use this for school as an engineering student. If I had more money I would buy a more Siglent products. I like the histogram and other graphical settings. I originally wanted to buy the Keysi*** brand but their prices are just way too high for an engineering student.

Mixed Feelings
I purchased this unit back in 2017 because I have several other meters that I wanted to calibrate, and this thing had the accuracy to do it.When I got it I was sure I would just love it. Honestly it had capabilities beyond what I needed. But after a while I had to admit that the throbbing green power light just bugged me when the meter was off, so I connected it to a switched socket so I could avoid its distraction.A few days later I was using it and pushed a button on the front, heard the relay click, but the display and buttons had became unresponsive and I had to power it off and back on to make it work again. After a while it became clear that it would simply freeze on occasion for no particular reason. Naturally that considerably reduced my expectations of it''s reliability. I have dealt with a lot of test equipment over the years, and never ran into a DMM that freezes up before this one.Still, even with a couple of imperfections, it worked good enough to serve the intended purpose until about mid 2021 when the display completely stopped working and it became a paperweight. As I have not been able to find sufficient information to repair it or even get it repaired , it sits on a self in the garage awaiting it's fate.
