Hi, it can fit an average 10 year old kid. The straps can be extended to fit a child on the chubbier side or if a kid is tall. Its a good size bag.

Well it's like a regular size backpack. It may be a little big for her but maybe with just a little bit of stuff it won't be or get too heavy. I bought it for my 6 year old.
