Favorite ink - as everything else right now, wish the price would come down some. But, it’s a great product.

They weren’t lying. The high-yield 414X lasts forever, prints crisp every time, and saves me from constantly swapping cartridges. Pricey, sure, but totally worth it for the quality and the fact that I’m not reordering toner every month. Once you go high-yield black, you won’t go back.

It was delayed a few days but arrived well-packaged and in good shape. Works like a champ. HP original toner cartridges have a chip that the printer identifies and allows to work. This hit the target. Would purchase again.

I rarely get the page yield out of a toner cartridge that I am supposed to, but I find that the X cartridges despite being more expensive are a superior value. Having been a color laser printer user since the late 90’s, I learned a long time ago about “color black.” Color black uses all four CMYK cartridges for the end product. For a presentation or important correspondence that’s a great look, but for day to day stuff setting the default printer values to black & white is the number 1 most effective way to save money. Using an X black cartridge is the second best way to save money, and if you can afford it the X color cartridges will save money but one could argue the initial costs reduces the value proposition.I have used generic as well as genuine HP cartridges, and believe that the chip is working to bring “equity” aka higher prices to the toner market. The knock off with chips could be the most expensive option once divided by page count. And despite my ability to build almost anything, I have never successfully performed a chip transplant. So while HP ink is high ridiculously expensive, the value comes at getting closer to the right number of pages.If you have been on the generic toner band wagon along time, I would encourage you to track your page counts…it may not be the savings you think it is. The cost cartridge that is supposed to get 2500 sheets but only gets a 1000 should be multiplied by 2.5 before comparing the cost to HP ink.

Haven't found a food aftermarket refil. This is definitely THE BEST! Don't even bother with the cheaper ones that claim to be just as good. I print ALOT for work and these last roughly a year. I'll update with a true page qty when I figure it up

The media could not be loaded. bought the 414X in November, 2021 when it costs 172 bucks. prints awesome, no issues at all, and way better than having the hassle of off brand carts with crap ink. IDK, I know it costs a ton for ink, and saving 75 bucks for black ink seems like it's worth it to buy off brand, but not for me. If I can afford the $700 color laserjet printer this goes in, I can afford the proper ink for it. July 2025 I dropped 224 bucks just for the record. Says it lasts for 7500 pages, I got nearly 4 years and just over 6500 pages, but I print a lot of pictures in only black and white, to save money on color ink, so maybe that's why, IDK, I was happy, but minue one star because I'd be a lot happier if it lasted and EXTRA 1000 pages instead of shorting final tally by 1000 pages. watch my video, pretty much the same info, but reading is hard for people these days, so there ya go.
