Can you use this gloss on top of acrylic paint?

Golden makes an 'acrylic paint' varnish that may be a bit more suitable - check out Golden Polymer Varnish (water-based acrylic polymer varnish), or MSA varnish (MSA Varnish with UVLS (Gloss, Satin, Matte) is a Mineral Spirit based Acrylic resin system that forms a tougher, less permeable film than waterborne acrylic varnishes and can be applied to acrylic, oil and alkyd painted surfaces.) Gamblin Gamvar is similar to Golden MSA, where it is better used on oil or alkyd painted surfaces.

Can i directly apply this varnish after my painting is dry or it should be mixed with something ?

Apply it directly after your painting is completely dry with even brush strokes ... not too heavy and not too light. You should love the results!

can i use this on unglazed ceramics?

Don't know. I only use it on oil paintings

Yes it will work well. It is generally recommended that a painting should dry for a full year before varnishing. Since your painting has been dry for decades you shouldn’t have any worries.
