Unbelievably Strong Magnetic will secure any size handgun and allow quick access
First off these magnetic mounts are super strong, can easily secure any size handgun wherever you wish to mont them. Second, they are much smaller then they appear in the picture, which isn't a bad thing, and nice they have a solid hold the small size give you more mounting options. They have a think rubbery/plastic coating that won't scratch your firearm and each mount contains two really powerful magnets... I actually had a difficult time getting them separated when removing them from the package (the trick is to twist them apart, not pull). Each magnet also has an adhesive backing, but it's there to hold the magnet in place while you drill holes and permanently attach it to the surface with the included screws (two different lengths included). I wanted to use one of these in my car, but I'm not that keen on drilling holes and bolting this into the plastic of the side of my center console so I thought I was out of luck until someone recommended using the heavy duty 3M adhesive tape, which will hold the magnet in place without drilling and screwing. Also wanted to mention that the mounts come with small plastic caps that cover the recessed mounting screws. This makes for a really clean looking install and adds a second layer of protection against any chance of scratching your firearm. These are rated to hold 45 lbs. each and while i didn't test it, I have no doubt about the claim. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase. Highly reccomended.

Won's scratch or rust and can be used almost anywhere you need them!
I have never used a magnetic gun mount before, but recently decided to try one out. What a great idea! I bought the 2 pack that are great for pistols. They are small, and easy to install.Since I am talking about installing these; beware - read the instructions. The paper backing exposes the adhesive to keep the magnet in place, to support the magnet while you are attaching it with the screws provided. The adhesive backing is NOT for mounting, only to help in attaching it using the provided screws!I use one at my desk, since I work from my home in my office. This makes it easy to grab if I ever need it. I also use the other in the bedroom. The magnets hold the pistol very securely and since the magnets are rubber covered - there is no rust or scratches on your pistol. These magnets can be used almost anywhere you need them. In a car, truck, home, cabin, etc. The quality is excellent and the magnets are strong. I shouldn't need to say this for most people that have firearms in their home; but there are a couple safety rules about using a device like this:1. Lock up your firearms in a safe if you have children or visitors in your home.2. When you grab your pistol, keep your booger-hook off the bang switch! (keep your finger away from the trigger). These rules are very important for your sake, your family's sake, and for your liability if an accident happens.

Excellent product that holds the intended items.
I have two sets of these. One is mounted on my bed stand and hold very very well. The second set I have on my cabinet and holds my long iron. I didn’t use the tape, nor did I screw it to my cabinet. I ended up using the taped side with the waxed paper covering facing out so I could more easily remove it from the magnets without pulling the magnets off of the cabinet with the long iron. I did it this way because I’m not sure exactly where I am going to mount that on the cabinet. I may keep it that way since it holds it very securely, but with the wax paper over the sticky side of the magnets I am able to quickly pull it off from the magnets without them staying on It. I have no issues with these. They are very strong and would have no problem ordering more. Excellent product. I do wish they cost less, but they hold everything that I would ever use them for. The rubber on the outside does not mar up the surfaces and keep things secure.

Super strong hold!
Wow! The magnetic draw on these is so strong... I didn't think it would be as strong as it is given the size of the magnetic surfaces. I was sure wrong!I don't recommend putting them top side together as a "test" to see how strong they are - you'll have the Dickens of a time to pry em apart! (Tip: pivot them opposite directions to release magnetic hold then pry apart)The rubberized coating is really nice and prevents marring or scratching the finish of my guns (even ones covered in Cerakote).Don't try to use the self-adhesive side for anything beyond original placement/hold to use the mounting screws... The magnetic pull strength is so strong it'll pull right off whatever you've mounted it to if you don't use the screws! It comes with two different length of screws and cover caps for screw holes to help protect firearm surfaces even further. These are some wonderful gun mounting magnets!I have one on the wall by my bed, another mounted in my vehicles, and a few other strategic places I can think to stash one.Get these if you're considering gun mounting magnets... They're super strong, rubberized coating to prevent damage, great prices... Can't go wrong!

Strong magnet - screws too long
Great design overall. The crews are too long and thin, so they over penetrate desks, cabinets, tables, and plastic. Get different screws.

Many uses even if you don't use them for guns!
Honestly... I'm not using these for my gun. I though about putting one on the underside of my nightstand so that I could stick my gun to it for easy access, but im really just not that paranoid, and i actually don't like the idea of my gun being that accessible.But... these are just well made, rubber coated magnets with dual mounting options. They come with a sticky backing for quick mounting, as well as screws for more secure mount.I'm still trying to figure out the best use for them, but right now I've got one up on my pegboard for sticking commonly used tools to, like screwdrivers, pliers, etc. Also, if you have a metal plate stuck to your phone for magnetic mounting in your car, these will work for that also. I stuck another one near my garage stereo to hold my phone while working/working out.
