Bought this for my husband to use during volunteer search and rescue missions. It's definitely highly visible in the desert, and he found it quite comfortable. The price is a better value than what is available at the big stores over an hour away from our rural town. Very satisfied.

This helmet is very lightweight compared to standard Hard Hats and is OSHA approved for impact. The vent make it even more appealing as it is so much cooler to wear for long hours. I have even accidentally worn it home from work in the car. It is so comfortable I forgot I was wearing it.

The product is good, till you add some accessories. Then you can tell they didnt put much R&D into the engineering of attachments, attachment points and their compatibility with the helmet. Worst is ear protection. Ive tried 2 different 3M types. The helmet straps are in the way of any ear muff from sealing against your head, and it does not matter if you have the liner in high or low position, except low is worse with less room for the ear protection. Then they become very uncomfortable over time pushing the straps into your head with the ear protection snapped tight against them. The grass face shield is OK, the cheap one that came with an old helmet I have works much better. Basically the Petzl has no lock at the bottom end,, so it constantly wants to move up till its open. And the top corner of it interferes with and pushes back on ear protection. All of that adds a bit of weight too. So then the hard as a rock forehead pad, a poor choice of material to build with, becomes the next uncomfortable point of contact in about an hour or so. It starts to feel like some sort of sand paper material, what were they thinking here? So if you just need a helmet with strap and vents, its probably good. But dont expect to wear this with a face shield and ear protection all day cutting trees or brush cutting. It gives me a massive headache eventually. Back to wearing my cheap helmet that came with face shield and ears already on, and they all work together well with a soft cotton forehead pad.
