ORICO 4 Ports Hub Transparent USB 3.0 Hub Support Offline Powered and OTG Function with 30CM Cable

I bought this to go along with my gaming machine lighting and looks. I have attached it to USB 2.0 port and it is working well. The looks and features are exactly as shown.The cable I received is short, so at most the hub could sit either on top of the PC cabinet at the rear or along the side again at rear side. It feels like the short cable is for using with laptop. I read some people receiving longer cable but not sure how.This is definitely not a value for money product but go for it only for its aesthetics.

NOTE:@ It can handle normal bluetooth dongles as well as high capacity HDD/SDD upto 4TB, but needs to be plugged in with micro USB cable for power supply.@ Bottom Rubber is useless and it isn't sufficient keeping the dock in place and you shall need a double sided tape to keep it firm.@ Transfer speeds are upto the mark of USB 3.0 standards provided you connect it to USB 3.0 port on your computer and use the compatible cable.After thoroughly using this dock for couple of months on regular basis, following are my noted observations,PROS:1. Transfer Speed which is the Key factor, is upto my satisfaction. I get speeds according to device I use like 30mbps for sandisk pendrive to 150+mbps for SSD (external).2. All four ports provided are USB 3.0, which again is satisfactory.3. It works flawlessly when used with USB dongles like mouse + Keyboard + normal pendrives or low capacity HDD or SSD simultaneously.4. Micro USB port is provided to plug in extra power when high capacity devices are to be connected.5. Built Quality is above my expectation for the price I paid and should lasts quite long.6. Finally appearance is cool, thanks to transparent design with mild blue LED.CONS:1. Rubber padding provided is not capable of holding the dock firmly. So I had use double sided tape to keep is firm.2. It needs to be plugged in with micro usb cable if you are gonna use high capacity devices, thus occupying 2 ports of cpu or 1 of cpu + 1 of monitor/adapter.VERDICT :I got it for 790 and for that price its a steal. Even if its priced around 1k, then too I recommend going for this, as its 100% reliable and provides promised transfer speed, which is very rare in sub 1k rupees dock. Anything above 1k for 4 ports is overkill, then better get more port dock like 6 or so on.

In the category of USB 3.0 it is a best deal. I bought for rs. 799/- However if it is in the range of rs. 500-600/- I would have bought 2 more pieces. Alas, it is it is.Pros - It have micro-usb point to connect charger to use power supply. Those who bought portable disks had experienced that without power supply those disks are sitting duck. This product providing external power supply point solved that problem.Cons - However you have to use your own usb cable and charger because this product don't have any. Be cautious using charger. I recommend 5V-1.5A charger. Don't exceed Amp. It heats and would damage USB Hub.

If you are looking for additional USB port with great speed, this is it. I spent hours looking for a product which serves the purpose yet not so expensive. I needed the extension for 1) bluetooth mouse and keyboard, usb drive, external hard drive and laptop cooler fan. The media could not be loaded. I already had a Orico 4-port USB 3.0 Hub and was very pleased with it .So, I bought the Orico 7-port hub on sale and connected to it six of my external HDDs which have their own dedicated power supplies.I also gave extra power to the 7 port hub from a spare mobile phone charger lying around.I'm getting upto 100 Mbps transfer speeds with the PC and between my external HDDs, so this is truly USB 3.0!The wireless keyboard and mouse adapter, the PS4 game controller and my gaming joystick are connected to the Orico 4-port USB hub. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase.

It was good initially but not for long. This device stops working with USB 3.0 connection after few months of usage. It works with usb 2.0 but I brought it as a 3.0 hub. NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT what can we expect from a chinese brand. Beter to invest in a good brand.

Pros:* The idea of an externally powered USB 3 hub is sound.* Cable quality and fit and finish is nice. Looks cool.Cons:* Unreliable. Initially it works as expected. However after a few hours devices keep getting disconnected while using.Edit-This was tested on Linux. Whenever there was a disconnect, there was following message in the log:[ 367.548161] usb usb7-port1: disabled by hub (EMI?), re-enabling...[ 367.548483] usb 7-1: USB disconnect, device number 5[ 367.548545] usb 7-1.3: USB disconnect, device number 6These errors became frequent with time. I searched but could not find a solution for it.This is not present in a older USB 2 hub I that have. Decided to return the product.Thanks for the return policy.
